Effortless Ideation and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for ideation and visualization, and I love its Google Meet integration. The UI makes everything easy to find, and it facilitates collaboration by letting me work with a friend on shared projects. I appreciate the simplicity of the layout, with tools on the left that are super organized and categorized. The big canvas area in the middle makes it easier to see everything, especially when working with someone else, as I can see what they are doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like an option for recording videos and saving them directly to my computer without needing third-party providers or screen recorders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps organize my thoughts with easy diagram creation. The UI is simple, making tools easy to find, and the integration with Google Meet facilitates seamless collaboration. I love the layout simplicity and the big canvas for real-time project collaboration with friends.
Visual modeling has clarified complex processes and now needs more intuitive line control
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Lucidchart is creating operating platform models and different types of diagrams that show how systems, processes, and people work together.
I create any kind of diagramming through Lucidchart, including the operating platform model that we create for our projects.
For my project called Voice of the Donor, I built the entire thing on Lucidchart where I basically showed all the different systems and how the data is being exchanged, who are the people that are involved, what are the processes that are involved, the names of the applications that are involved, and all those things were diagrammed in Lucidchart.
What is most valuable?
The best features Lucidchart offers are probably the different types of shapes that you can drag and drop, and then the arrows. You can also add your own different types of shapes. I think it is very useful to have the drag and drop shapes and icons for different applications, as it makes it very easy and straightforward.
The drag and drop shapes and custom icons help me in my work because it basically helps to visualize the process by just showing what the applications are and visualizing what those applications look like. If it is a telephone, we have a telephone symbol. If it is Salesforce, there is a Salesforce logo on there. The application logos make it very easy to build diagrams.
Lucidchart has positively impacted my organization by making it very easy for us to create diagrams of any type, and we use it extensively.
What needs improvement?
I choose seven because of those things I mentioned where adjusting different things and drawing the lines is basically not very intuitive at all. It is very time-consuming trying to figure out which lines to grab to change the shapes and to drag them in different places or the arrows. Those are very hard to manage and deal with sometimes.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Lucidchart for more than two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Lucidchart's scalability is pretty good; you can just get more licenses.
How are customer service and support?
I have not had too much interaction with customer support, but it seems as though it is reasonable.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I do not know what the company previously had, but we have been using Lucidchart pretty much extensively now.
What was our ROI?
We are not tracking return on investment that extensively, but I know we obviously are saving time and it helps with clarity in projects, so that is a huge time saver and cost saver as well.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I was not that heavily involved in pricing, setup cost, and licensing, but I believe we just paid for a number of seats. We have licenses based on how many people are going to be using it approximately, and we give out the licenses to the Solutions Architects and the people that need that license, and we pay for X number of licenses per year.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have used all different types of solutions before Lucidchart. I do not really remember the names of too many of them. The one that comes with Microsoft, I have used that one. I think I have used ExcelaChart. There is one in Microsoft that is built-in, and there is one in Confluence also, draw.io, something like that.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using Lucidchart is just to play around with it. I give this product a rating of seven.

Easy-to-Use, Perfect for Visual Clarity
What do you like best about the product?
One of the aspects I appreciate most about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its intuitive drag-and-drop flowchart builder, along with the extensive selection of prebuilt shapes for creating system and process diagrams. While working on assignments for my online courses, I often relied on swimlane diagrams, decision blocks, and connectors to clearly illustrate workflows and logic.
The availability of ready-made templates for flowcharts and system designs allowed me to get started quickly, saving me from having to build everything from the ground up. I also found it convenient that diagrams could be updated or rearranged easily without disrupting the overall layout. The AI-assisted suggestions were particularly helpful for organizing diagrams more efficiently, especially when I was pressed for time.
Additional features such as Google sign-in, autosave, and real-time editing contributed to a smooth and dependable experience. The interface is straightforward and user-friendly, making Lucid a practical tool for both academic assignments and professional-style projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't encountered anything I dislike about the platform. It has functioned smoothly for my assignments and projects, and all the features I required were both accessible and straightforward to use. Overall, my experience with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has been positive up to this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has been extremely useful for me in presenting ideas in a clear and organized manner. It simplifies complex topics, making them easier to grasp and minimizing confusion, particularly when preparing presentations or sharing concepts with others. I appreciate its straightforward interface and the variety of ready-made templates, which save considerable time and effort.
I have used Lucid for academic projects in both DBMS and Data Science, where I needed to create presentations on specific topics from each course. For my DBMS project, I focused on database normalization, and Lucid enabled me to design clear diagrams that illustrated the different normal forms and the relationships between tables. In my Data Science project, which involved Exploratory Data Analysis, I utilized flowcharts and visuals to clearly present the steps, data pipeline, and key insights.
Overall, Lucid closely resembles the tools commonly used in professional office environments. It enhanced the professionalism and clarity of my presentations and was particularly helpful for visually organizing my thoughts. I would highly recommend it to both students and professionals who need to create effective and visually appealing diagrams or presentations.

Visual Project Mapping Made Simple
What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to map and plan projects, and I love how visual it is. It really helps align different teams when they can see what needs to get done. The visual look and feel suit me perfectly because I'm probably one of the most visual people you've met. I find it way easier to move tasks around projects, under headings, and to different people. The system isn't restricting me like other applications do, allowing me to map a project how it's mapped in my head.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get confused with shortcuts. The zoom in, zoom out vs moving left and right I get confused with. It's kind of minor, wouldn't stop me from using the platform. Also, the initial setup wasn't amazing; I had a login for about a year but didn't use it because there seemed to be trouble getting me linked to the company account, but all sorted now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to map and plan projects, visualize interdependencies, and simplify task management. It makes aligning teams easier with its visual approach and enhances ease of use compared to spreadsheets.
