Intuitive and Flexible, But Can Lag with Large Diagrams

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its intuitive and flexible design. As a developer, I find it incredibly helpful to quickly visualize ideas, workflows, and processes. This visual approach makes collaborating with my team effortless, and having everything clearly displayed allows us to identify issues early and make more informed decisions together.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that sometimes it can feel a bit slow when working with very large diagrams or complex workflows. Also, real-time collaboration can occasionally lag, which can be a bit frustrating during intensive team sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite addresses the challenge of unclear communication and disorganized ideas. With its ability to let my team and me visually map out workflows, processes, and projects, collaboration becomes much more seamless. This tool saves us time, minimizes misunderstandings, and enables us to make quicker, better-informed decisions.

Powerful Visual Collaboration, But Pricey and Sometimes Slow

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I value how the Lucid Suite transforms complex ideas into straightforward, visual representations. Its main advantage comes from its two integrated components: Lucidchart, which excels at structured diagramming, and Lucidspark, designed for creative brainstorming. This combination enables teams to transition smoothly from the early, unstructured stages of an idea to a refined, actionable plan, all within a single, collaborative platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Several notable drawbacks of the Lucid Suite revolve around its cost and performance. The pricing model can be a significant obstacle, with the free tier offering limited functionality and the paid options often seen as pricier compared to other alternatives. Additionally, users have experienced performance issues, such as lag and slowdowns, especially when handling large or complex diagrams, which can interrupt their workflow. Lastly, some users describe the interface as "clunky" and mention that mastering the more advanced features can involve a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Lucid Suite addresses the main challenges of team misalignment and the confusion that often arises from complex, text-heavy communication, particularly within hybrid teams. It offers the advantage of a unified visual platform, allowing you to transition seamlessly from an unstructured brainstorming session in Lucidspark to a well-organized, actionable plan in Lucidchart. This approach establishes a single source of truth, keeping everyone on the same page and enabling a much quicker progression from initial ideas to execution.

What do you dislike about the product?

Our main problem is organizing information in an intuitive way so that customers can understand our processes.

Simplifies Architecture Design, But Requires Strong Governance and Jira Integration

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how this tool enables me to create architecture diagrams for engineering, which has made my work much simpler. I also value the efficient communication and the clear prioritization of roadmaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
This tool demands a strong approach to governance and close integration with Jira management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Naturally, once we've addressed the issues of misalignment and the frustration caused by outdated or hard-to-find documentation, we gain the ability to quickly move from ideas to formal and technical documentation within a single platform. This not only shortens our planning cycles but also greatly enhances the clarity of our specifications.

Intuitive, Seamless, and User-Friendly for Organization Charts

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite extremely user-friendly and intuitive, making the task of designing and updating organization charts straightforward with its drag-and-drop interface. The platform's professional tone and seamless integration with work tools like Google Drive and Slack enhance my productivity and collaboration efforts significantly. Real-time collaboration features are particularly valuable, enabling multiple people to edit diagrams simultaneously, which is ideal for brainstorming and planning sessions. It's clean and well-organized, making the setup process easy. I appreciate that it simplifies creating wireframes, flowcharts, and process maps, and its automatic organization chart feature is beneficial to my workflow. Additionally, email invitations and the feedback menu are helpful for sharing and refining work collaboratively. Overall, Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's ease of use and the ability to integrate with existing tools makes it an excellent choice for my projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the limited number of templates in Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite a drawback. Even though there are prebuilt templates for various charts or mind maps and strategy diagrams, I feel that adding more templates would enhance its utility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for seamless wireframe and organization chart creation, benefiting from its automatic features. The real-time collaboration enhances brainstorming and planning, while its ease of use and work tool integration improve my workflow.

IT Support Specialist

What do you like best about the product?
I'm one of the SME's .. the primary SME for Lucid at 6sense and i'm a huge advocate for it. We started off using Powerpoint as with the rest of the world and lucid is just way easier to use on a day to day and to understand, I've also even encouraged and assisted my teammates to use Lucid for our whiteboarding and team meetings.

Lucid is also great for our new hire documentation. Handling the onboarding process can be tedious so allowing me create and store this information somewhere that is accessible to everyone (not just 6sense employees) has been a huge benefit for our onboarding process.

We also have Lucid integrated with a few other tools - AWS, Microsoft Suite, Slack and a few more. These integrations are frequently used by myself and our users everyday.

Another great thing (aside from the Suite itself) is our rep Allison. She's been a HUGE help with everything we need - from hosting office hours to inform users of the new features and how Lucid can benefit them, to assisting me with figuring out how to resolve technical issues, down to even our license clean up.

Overall, Lucid Suite is a great tool for whiteboarding, documenting, brainstorming, and has all the tools needed to create visuals that I feel no app can compare to.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can say I dislike about Lucid is the way the the text is hyperlinked. Sometimes I just want the ability to have a text says "click here" and then link to it, rather than having to use the that tab feature that creates a tab or writing out the whole link. This seems only to occur when the link is in a text box.

Outside of that, I don't have much dislikes. Maybe integrations with a couple more apps would be great (Zoom integration, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned on the first page - primarily onboarding. We need visuals and documentation to assist our new hires. I feel being able to visually see things is much easier to follow than just reading text so our Orientation presentation and even our pre-onboarding documentation is created and hosted in Lucid. This gives the user the ability to see and follow along much easier than reading a plain old email or trying to sift through a Powerpoint Presentation.

Lucid also helps me in my personal life with getting my ideas out of my head and putting them somewhere where I can figure out how to organize it and what to do next. I basically use my 1on1 doc as a psuedo-scrum board and I love it. This helps me stay organized and on top of things.

Lucid is also solving the whiteboarding issue for our team meetings so we can also brainstorm and assist each other with issues.

Excellent Alignment Tools and Connectors for Any Diagram, Just Watch for Block Shifting

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the connectors where I can work with floating or anchored connection when linking shapes. Aligning my elements is super easy because of the wonderful grid system that lets me place components perfectly aligned side-by-side or under each other when creating my diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no part that I didn’t like about this tool but I have to be careful to have not to delete a block since the other blocks might shift.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Greatly helps translate electrical schematic into a physical board layout. It’s also great for drawing flowcharts to facilitate the descriptions of power travel through the board.
