Excellent for team brainstorming and visual project planning

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid’s biggest strength is its intuitive and user-friendly interface. The templates and drag-and-drop tools make it easy to turn complex ideas into clean, visual diagrams. It’s especially useful for remote teams — real-time collaboration and commenting keep everyone aligned without endless back-and-forth emails. Integration with Google Workspace and Slack also helps streamline communication and documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is powerful, performance can slow down with large or complex diagrams. Some advanced features, such as data linking and automation, are only available in higher-tier plans. A native offline mode would also be helpful for times when the internet connection is unstable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps my team simplify complex ideas and processes by visualizing them clearly. We use it to map workflows, document system architectures, and collaborate on brainstorming sessions in real time. It has reduced communication gaps, improved alignment between technical and non-technical teams, and made project planning faster and more transparent. The ability to collaborate visually instead of relying only on text-based tools saves time and enhances creativity.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am unable to export my work as a PDF, which is frustrating. Additionally, there are times when the blocks do not automatically align as they should.

Super Easy-to-Use Interface

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike a lot of other tools (like Canvas), it is much simpler on the eyes and quite easy to navigate. I would highly recommend to another developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is a large learning curve, especially for people who have not done too much past experiences with making diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without a shared visual understanding, teams can struggle to get on the same page, especially with complex systems or processes. Lucid addresses this by providing a visual space to clarify concepts, align on issues, and document workflows.

Easy to Use Yet Powerful—Minor Drag Issues Easily Fixed

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use, yet complex nature of Lucid. A new user is able to pick up the platform in minutes, and experienced users are able to leverage the platform for robust use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downsides I have experienced thus far are simple issues with inadvertent click and drag of objects, but the undo function makes this simple to fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid is providing a unique tool to effectively map out various thoughts and ideas, and have allowed me to expand upon those ideas in a visual way.

Effortless Diagramming, AI Features Still Evolving

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Creating diagrams in Lucid is incredibly straightforward. It's the best tool I've used for making architecture diagrams, allowing me to present my ideas clearly and visually.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe the AI features could use some improvement. Whenever I try to create an AI-driven diagram, I find myself going from Gemini to Mermaid and then to Lucid, because Lucid doesn't catch minor issues in the Mermaid schema.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Staff Software Engineer, I frequently lead projects and design architectures. For me, Lucid is the most effective tool for these tasks. Its visual editor makes it easy to quickly iterate and create live diagrams while brainstorming solutions.
