Easy to use tool for System Design interviews

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used this tool for a system design interview and I was quite pleased with it.

It was very easy to pick up and I had everything I needed to express my design to the interviewer.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit difficult to be able to connect the microservices using arrows to show the communication. It wasn't as intuitive as I hoped and I had to be a bit creative but eventually managed to properly show the relationship.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System Design interviews

From Messy Ideas to Clean Diagrams

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that it’s actually two tools in one that work together perfectly. You get Lucidspark, which is like a giant digital whiteboard for brainstorming and just getting all your messy ideas out. Then, you have Lucidchart, which is amazing for taking those ideas and turning them into clean, professional-looking flowcharts, org charts, or system diagrams. It's super easy to use, and the real-time collaboration is great—you can literally see your teammate's mouse moving on the screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version is really limited; you hit a wall pretty fast and it basically forces you to upgrade. The paid plans can feel a bit expensive, especially if you're just a single user or a small team not using it every single day. Also, it can sometimes be a little annoying to have to jump back and forth between the two different apps (Spark and Chart) instead of just having all the tools in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When you're in a meeting (especially a remote one) and ideas are flying around, it gets chaotic. Lucidspark gives you a digital whiteboard where everyone can dump their ideas, sticky notes, and drawings in one place instead of a jumbled email thread or messy document.

Quick to Learn, Excel-Like Tools Make Flowcharts Easy

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I managed to create my first flowchart in less than an hour using Lucid. Despite it being my first attempt, I found the process surprisingly quick. I appreciated that the editing tools felt similar to those in Excel, which made it easy for me to adapt and get started right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
Selecting many items at once was difficult at first. However, I after figuring it out, it was easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to communicate the logic and flow of steps for inventory and accounting procedures to many different people of various backgrounds. I think this tool provides a great visual reference.

Fantastic Real-Time Collaboration Boosts Productivity

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The new features are fantastic, allowing me to collaborate with my colleagues in real time on the same file. This approach really helps us increase our productivity and review our work together as it happens. Also, while using the application, I did not feel any difficulty in creating user flow charts. Also, it is easy to implement and the team is using too often to generate charts and pitch their thoughts through this app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid’s Visual Collaboration Suite can at times feel cluttered and overwhelming, particularly when managing large teams or intricate diagrams. Furthermore, I have noticed that real-time collaboration may occasionally lag or experience syncing problems, which can interrupt the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since most of our team members work remotely, we are able to collaborate effectively on diagramming user flows, mapping out customer journeys, and conducting ideation workshops focused on design thinking for new features.

Absolutely Love It—No Complaints at All

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite stands out for its user-friendly interface, real-time collaborative features, and smooth integration with platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. It enables teams to brainstorm, create diagrams, and plan visually with minimal effort, simplifying the process of communicating and executing complex ideas. Additionally, the drag-and-drop tools and customizable templates contribute to faster workflows and encourage greater creativity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite can be frustrating at times because its free version offers only limited features, and the premium plans are quite expensive. Additionally, the platform sometimes lags when working with complex diagrams. Some users have mentioned that integrations with third-party tools such as Slack or Microsoft Teams do not always work smoothly, and the mobile version does not provide the same level of functionality as the desktop version. These issues can make it difficult for teams to collaborate efficiently and may disrupt real-time interactions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite addresses several common challenges that teams encounter. It unifies communication by bringing everyone together on a shared visual canvas, which helps minimize misunderstandings and enhances alignment between departments. The suite also streamlines complex project planning through its user-friendly diagramming tools, making it simpler to outline processes, set timelines, and identify dependencies. For remote teams, real-time editing and commenting features enable seamless collaboration, creating an experience similar to working together in person. By allowing teams to visualize data and ideas, Lucid helps facilitate quicker, more informed decisions and increases stakeholder engagement. Additionally, its intelligent features, such as AI-powered suggestions, speed up brainstorming and project execution. Altogether, these advantages contribute to more efficient communication, higher productivity, and greater innovation, particularly in dynamic or hybrid work settings. If you need assistance with a more detailed review or want to compare Lucid with other tools, feel free to ask.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick access to a lot of objects to start my diagrams and every drawing on the same document at the same time with multiple people works really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can’t honestly find any fault with this tool as there is no other software that does diagrams easily as this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best tool I have ever used for my working and research activities. The tool turned to be very useful in creating flowcharts of the stages of various laboratory experiments.

Easiest tool of such kind to draw effortlessly

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has the features I expect - shapes, grouping, auto-align, and Smart Guides to simplify the process of arranging shapes neatly which make putting together a flowchart very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires greater focus in order to use it, and for me that is not an issue so I can’t complain about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s good for creating flowcharts to make points clearer for students which is very helpful in learning.

Unified Visual Collaboration, but Large Boards Can Lag

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Lucid VCS brings the whole delivery journey onto one visual canvas. Lucidspark is brilliant for fast, messy ideation (sticky notes, voting, timers), then you can mature that thinking in Lucidchart into clear process maps, system/architecture diagrams, and RACI/flows—without losing context or stakeholders. With Lucidscale, being able to auto-visualise cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) from real data makes architecture reviews and risk spotting much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large boards can get sluggish, especially with many images/widgets.

Permissions/guest access feel fiddly—easy to over/under-share.

Version sprawl (many copies of the same board) without strict naming rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the “alignment gap” from idea → build → operate. It gives us one visual source of truth—so product, engineering, and stakeholders see the same plan, process, and architecture.
