Securing the Weakest Link: The Human Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 has Active Directory integration. We are able to target specific users who can inflict financial damage to our organization as well as those that have access to multiple resources. As part of defined groups, when employees leave or join our organization, they are automatically added to users for testing. We are also able to schedule periodic and Ad Hoc training campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one thing: They do not, as of yet, have a mobile app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are proactive in securing our weaknesses (the end user). We started out with a very high failure rate and we've gotten it down to 5%. Eliminating all failures is near impossible due to periodic employee turnover BUT with all our current end users that have been trained, they know how to spot questionable requests; whether via email or otherwise. They are taught how to "think for themselves/"
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is one of the most valuable tools we've ever implemented. An organization can invest many millions of dollars for end point protection, firewall, threat mitigation and protection and the like but these are only as strong as the weakest link. Shoring up the weakest link cultivates best practices and safe computing leading to peace of mind (and business); especially for the Board of Directors, investors AND Information Technology Staff.
Great Solution, Company and Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to get my users trained on Security Awareness! The training is fun and they retain what they learn and that's very important to keep our systems safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting the whitelisting and spam filtering set up correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my users trained and confident they will resist clicking on links or replying to phishing emails.
Great service
What do you like best about the product?
The main thing about KnowBe4 is that they're engaged in your success. Even small companies get the human attention & interaction they need to do campaigns and run their training programs. Also, KB4 is actively maintaining and expanding their offering.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels a little dated. It still works well but doesn't feel as modern as some others. Also, as an admin who also has to take training, moving from my training (back) to the admin portal isn't straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User security awareness training, regular phishing campaigns, hosted PDFs for policy signoffs and other internal training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give them a try. The pre-created content makes typical training & phishing a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4's platform is yery easy and intuitive to use. They have way too many tools to educate, train and test employees about the dangers of social engineering that I cannot name them all. My favorite is the phish tests that can be generic, custom and/or a bunch of "current events" that KB4 sees as the trends by the bad guys. What better way to keep your team sharp about the risks out there than to test with the latest trends in phishing?
What do you dislike about the product?
With my company's pending renewal of our service with KnowBe4, money is a little tighter and I may have to step down a notch with the plans. While I will still have most of the tools needed to train and test my users, I may have to give up some added tools like the "USB flash drive" test where you "drop" specially encoded flash drives to see if an employee takes the bate and tries to view its contents. While the difference between levels are cents per month per user, it all adds up. Maybe one level so businesses get it all and don't have the choice to be frugal in this important service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With KnowBe4, our users are much more careful and vigilant about email security. We have not had any security issues (knock on wood) since using KnowBe4.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take advantage of the trial and free software that KnowBe4 offeres. They have many tools that also shed light on potential security vulnerabilities that can exist.

What do you dislike about the product?
The method of adding new users is more difficult than it needs to be. This is the one area that I would really like to see improved. First complaint is that the tab is called "Import Users." I think it should be called "Add Users", and maybe have a separate button under that tab (or even a separate tab) for importing vs. manually adding. Currently, I need to go back to the Users tab and edit the new user to add their name and other information. It would be nice to be able to simply have a single screen for "adding" a single new user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The phish button offers a lot of convenience for our users to report malicious email and spam. The ongoing phishing campaigns help remind our users to always watch out for scams. The training and phishing campaigns, along with our own multilayered filtering and defense systems have kept our computers and network free from viruses and ransomware.
We have been using Knowbe4 for 4 years now and have really been happy with the software
What do you like best about the product?
Really like the ability to automate so much of the program. We can automate the emails that get sent out to the users. The ability to "clone" your training campaigns is awesome. Reporting is also one of my favorites.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one downside of Knowbe4 is that unless you have the top tier level (Diamond) then you don't often get the better shorter videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just making our users more aware of all the ways that they are vulnerable and turning them into skeptics is fantastic! I love that our users realize personal benefits in addition to professional knowledge with the Knowbe4 training and phishing tests.
Great tool to Train Employees
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent tool that is relevant in todays world. We use it to train employees on Cyber Security. We also use the Knowbe4 to conduct monthly Phishing training, random emails are sent monthly to employees to see if they practice what they have learned. We have also begun using non-technical trainings such as Active Shooter, which is very relevant in todays world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike. When support is needed, response times are great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training users on Cyber Security is our main use of the product. This method is much better than having a speaker or using other educational tools. Each user can take courses at their own speed, and repeat them if they need to.

The GUI and reports are clean, straightforward, and always a hit with management.
Implementation is mostly easy and is definitely fast.
Depending on the level you are paying for, the amount of content on offer for not only annual training but role-based, remedial, and just because training is excellent.
Sales and Support in my experience has always been fast, friendly, and helpful.
The testing and tools on offer, both paid and free, are quick and easy to setup and use, and return actionable results in easy to digest formats.
Implementation is mostly easy and is definitely fast.
Depending on the level you are paying for, the amount of content on offer for not only annual training but role-based, remedial, and just because training is excellent.
Sales and Support in my experience has always been fast, friendly, and helpful.

Implementation is mostly easy although I have run into a few hitches regarding email whitelisting. Documentation exists, but some of the screenshots can be out of date or finding just the right documentation can take some time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my current implementation I am using both the Security Awareness Training and the Compliance Management Tool. The training I have done with 2 other organizations and is a solid, easy to use platform for Security Awareness. The newsletters are great to hand out on a regular basis to supplement training and reinforce testing.
Compliance Management I am just getting into but so far, its just as fast and easy to set up as the Security Awareness. It has made getting a handle on our Compliance and finding our footing as we take the next step from a Startup organization much easier and more organized.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even without paying for it, the newsletters and the variety of free tools on offer through KnowBe4 makes it a no-brainer to leverage in your organization. I have implemented the product now for the third time in about two years and feedback is always positive from both management and employees.
Good security training, great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Our account manager has been really helpful in walking me through the setup, getting phishing and training campaigns planned out and executed and helping to keep me on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features and trainings that are only accessible at the Diamond level like HIPAA training. We are at the Platinum level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a consistent and regular way to ensure out team members are getting trained and tested. We can now SHOW were we started and the improvements that are being made.
Knowbe4 can save you from a massive headache and embarrassment.

I love the training and the testing it is very valuable to know who your weak links are.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont really have any downsides they keep making it better when you feel the content is getting stale they roll out lots of new content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of my employees being phished. We are under constant attack from evil characters wanting our data or a ransom. Knowbe4 and its trainings keep my employees safe and on constant guard from evil.
