Best Dollars we've spent on security in years
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4's training really uses real world examples. Their testing emails are so real that even my IT folks are impressed by their authenticity. We also like the ability to schedule random tests. This keeps everyone on their toes. In addition to all of the tools that KnowBe4 offers in its toolbox, our account manager calls periodically and checks in to see where we're at. He lets us know when new features have been released and always offers to walk me through setting up new or existing features. He's very encouraging and makes using the KnowBe4 tool set even easier than it already is. I look forward to when he calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is that my budget isn't bigger to access all of the training videos. However, even with that said, there are many many many videos from which I can choose and they have all been great, relative, and well received by people in our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
KnowBe4 has opened my organizations eyes to how easy it is for a bad actor to infiltrate our organization if people are apathetic and/or uneducated on the methods these bad actors can and will use. They have come to appreciate that humans are usually the weakest link in the security chain and are open and willing to learn new techniques to prevent external intrusions. With KnowBe4 and the tools offered it was easy to get them on board and persuade them that everyone's help is key to our organizational security.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set up my security awareness program based on maturity level, and KnowBe4 creating a schedule to help me get to my desired maturity target.
The ability to select my phishing templates, launching a campaign, and forgetting about it until it is completed.
The videos/shows are great. My users have enjoyed them.
Free tools such as USB test, ransomware test, ...etc are also great.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes. It was hard to sell the cost to management, but it is worth the money.

Security Awareness Training Built Your Way
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can cater my security awareness to my users. I can use the material provided to create a comprehensive training program that fits our needs better than any 3rd party person or firm could do. I've grown our training program into a competitive game. I've broken all of my users up into 3 different groups and every month I send out standings of the groups based on their risk score. This isn't something built into KB4, but it's something that KB4 allowed me to do. Thats the best part about KB4, I'm not constrained into a small box, I can grow and change the program as my user's needs change and grow too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the training material is out of date and doesn't provide the most current training that my users need. The phishing templates are also sometimes very obvious and I find it difficult to get an accurate read on my users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a informed and educated staff that is able to protect themselves against basic internet threats. Empowered staff that loves the challenge of being tested and learning something new.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to set up and grow along the way. Doesn't need to be a robust training program to start. Once you get your feet wet you can expand your training and phishing to really take advantage of the upper level features. KB4 does a great job of growing with you!
WOW, I can not believe the stuff my users are clicking on.
What do you like best about the product?
I know users are the Achilles heal in IT Security, I just wasn't prepared for the amount of failure I found. This tool showed me what I was missing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find anything I dislike about this KnowBe4 product. It does everything it suppose to and more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1st test = 26% failure. After some training with KnowBe4, subsequent failures are down to less than 6%. The ability to set an automated monthly random test is awesome! Especially since you can set it to auto enroll users that fail into more training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will be dumbfounded once you find out the stuff your users fall for and click on. Users and their emails are your weakest link in IT security, this tool will show you who the problem users are and help you train them to stop making mistakes. The support staff at KnowBe4 is AWESOME, they will walk you through everything step by step and help you setup automated testing and training. All you have to do is sit back and look at reports and make determinations on problem users with warnings or reprimands for repeated failures.
Lots of training options, easy to use, and great customer support... all in one!
What do you like best about the product?
These days customer service stinks at so many places. KnowBe4 has bucked the trend. There's always a real person available by phone. They're always happy to get on line with you and walk through things with you. And a real person always responds to email right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the training seems redundant and some of it seems aimed toward kids... or teens. The super heroes, cartoons, and sort of goofy stuff. I suppose it's good for educational environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're slowly getting people to quit opening random (phishing) mail. I work for a software company, so you'd think we'd be ahead of the game... but we still have a few people clicking on things they shouldn't. Luckily, they're from KnowBe4 so we're not held for ransom!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always forget how to clone training campaigns. It's super easy when support showed me... so it set up 6 months worth or training. In that 6 months I've forgot how to do it..
Excellent Service
What do you like best about the product?
The service is excellent but they also have very competent proactive support agents that are very helpful in setting up the service. They almost hand hold you during the setup process and they also do followup to make sure you are getting the best the service has to offer.
They have a reporting plugin for Outlook that provides Admins insight on the level of phishing emails coming into the organization and if users are identifying them properly.

It's difficult for us to implement training modules.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Educating our staff on new emerging email threats has been key in helping keep our systems secure. knowledge is power and this is a service that all companies should adopt.

What do you like best about the product?
Creating campaigns to test user awareness works great and is a great compliment after KnowBe4's video training. Having the ability to automatically have users be added to their respectful groups when creating new users helps with reducing the amount of micro managing required. Scam of the week newsletters are great reminders to forward along to other end users and to keep track of the newest trends in between awareness training and training campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating email templates to forward to end users sometimes do show up differently on mobile devices than they do in email clients such as Outlook. A mobile only template option would be a nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
KnowBe4 solves the problem of myself needing to train end users on security awareness because of their great video training. It also helps keep track of "repeat clickers" to understand who needs further training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the time it takes to train end users through Power Point slides and the ability to track down end users and who showed up to the large learn sessions, and you'll quickly realize how much easier it is to rely on the tool for all your training needs. Automatically sending traning to new users who join the company helps reduce the micro managing required of training initiatives. Creating new template emails is a breeze, and community shared templates helps give you ideas of what new trends to use for internal campaigns.
Absolutely great product!
What do you like best about the product?
IT is just one of the hats I wear so I don't have a lot of free time. KnowBe4 has been so easy to use that I have been able to take advantage of all they offer without it every feeling like a burden. It is so well thought out that there always seems to be a detailed instruction or video available to answer my questions. The customer support is top notch as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing I dislike. I could say it isn't free but for all that you get it is a smoking value. But to answer the question, the email phishing templates that are available do have lots of very similar types so it does make searching through them more time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small company who never really thought of ourselves as a target of cyber criminals. We learned a hard lesson earlier this year and have had to make a lot of changes to how we operate. KnowBe4 has been key component because it helps us shore up our last line of defense.
A large variety of information security awareness training!
What do you like best about the product?
There are different style types of training available on KnowBe4 - from games to comedic training videos. I also like the episodic trainings that they offer. The short episodic trainings have pretty good acting and are entertaining to watch. The recap of the information security topics at the end of each episode is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few items that can be improved in KnowBe4. 1. Quizzes should have the ability to review incorrect answers. 2. The new user set up is a bit clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of the staff members noted that previous trainings were very similar and repetitive. KnowBe4 allowed us to present diverse information security awareness training to our staff. The automatic notifications allowed us to spend less time manually notifying employees when training is due.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
KnowBe4 has various vendors supplying the training modules, so at times the trainings presented can seem like they don't fit into similar style. On the other hand, the different styles of trainings does keep the material more interesting.
Cornerstone of a corporate awareness and security procedure
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use in getting a baseline security training program in place is exceptional. This can then be incrementally improved and customized based on requirements. It's all easily managed at a management level without a large time requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The phishing testing component does throw false positives fairly regularly; I'm often getting reports from users saying they didn't click on anything but still registered as failed. It's a small price to pay, but still can be a nuisance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increasing security knowledge and awareness across the team. As a fintech company, we needed to ensure that our staff had a stronger security baseline, especially around email (phishing). This has the added benefit of being an easy solution to requirements for compliance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The online tutorials and training are very solid, take the time to go through their training and understand the basics, it makes everything else very simple.
