Vantage works for me. They saved us 20% in a month or so.

What do you like best about the product?
Much better analysis/breakdowns by cost area of Ec2-servers, RDS, Cloudfront than can be gotten from AWS Billing dashboard. Better actionable info.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are still working on getting costs associated with reserved instances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My Problem solved was our AWS bill. Vantage helped reduce it by a few thousand (out of $12k/monthly) in just a few weeks. Our AWS bill was reduced more than 20%.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can calculate costs using API and there is no need to buy expensive tools

What do you like best about the product?
Vantage helps me out a lot with exploring AWS costs. Using the AWS console to figure out why my costs were higher than expected was always an annoyance personally, quite unclear and hard to figure out. Looking at the Vantage dashboard makes me not only know directly what my costs are, for which service and there is a short explanation for some of the cost groups that might be unclear (they still have the AWS names, so require an explanation sometimes).

Setup is really easy as well. One simple cloudformation script. They have a blog as well, with how that all works. I haven't yet had time to read it yet, but there is a lot of info there.

Main benefit is the free tier for up to $2500 a month. So for side projects this is super useful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints. If I want to share vantage with other teams, it would be nice to have a link showing that they're AWS trusted partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Much easier to see costs and which resources cause these costs
- Find hidden costs
- Find out f.e. the cost of my load balancer and what part of that is the default cost and which part is the added cost for high traffic
- I also started to like AWS much more thanks to Vantage by solving mythe biggest pain point in AWS (pricing)
