Sumo Logic monitoring review
What do you like best about the product?
it is very simple to use, it looks almost like a mobile App, I like how simple it is to configure your dashboard,
and it gives you real-time metrics on our servers, also the incoming alerts are very easy to configure.
the dashboard allows to filter timeframes for every running job and not like other software where the time filter refreshes the entire dashboard

What do you dislike about the product?
I think the customer service part still has room to improve, I've been on a long hold trying to reach someone on their hotline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Day to Day monitoring, it is a reliable source of metrics and real-time monitoring on your infrastructure

Powerful log analysis tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fairly easy to use and very powerful. It's hard to imagine doing production support without a tool like this.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was cheaper so we could ingest more logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great for diagnosing production issues by examining and correlating logs. It's also good for alerting based on criteria.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth considering as a cheaper alternative to Splunk and a more feature-rich solution versus open source (E.g. ELK).

I don’t have to worry about the infra piece

They can add more security and its features. Also more complex options are expected. Still lagging behind SIEM tool

If you have SIEM, the ease of infra
Pricey, but excellent
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to automate collector installation across a variety of infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is quite clunky, and lags behind established peers such as Splunk, and up-and-comers such as Google's cloud offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way developers could aggregate logs quickly and easily, without having to perform manual steps that would take them away from their jobs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give them a try depending on your needs. They are pricey, but worth it at this point, especially if your workload is in AWS.
My Sumo Logic review
What do you like best about the product?
I use to have no logs when searching servers till our company found Sumo Logic. This solved an immediate problem. Lots of configurable agents and integration points.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speed isn't the greatest. Sometimes while searching for things from over a month ago...it really slows down. Query language takes a lot to get to know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application Logging

Sumo Logic is a good system but it definitely needs more updates before it's perfect

What do you like best about the product?
Identification of messages is a great feature and the web application troubleshooting is straightforward. Inlije the clean interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The metrics are not as valuable as they could be, seems that the algorithems could be a bit more robust.

my awesome sumologic
What do you like best about the product?
Before to this sumolog , I was having huge issue while searching my application log in different server . My application having 4 server and each server having no of logs . Some time , in case of any production issue , i have to find the issue and trace the log. Before sumolog , i have to login each server and find the log then individually i have to put the condition to refine the logs .But now, i am so comfortable and quickly able to add no of search parameter and sumo logic search all logs from all server environment at once . This is time saving , quick and less error prone . Good work sumo logic team .

initially i have to remember some search criteria but after while it's easy to use .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
reading production logs for various application server .
Recommendations to others considering the product:
i recommend other people to use this server if you quickly want to see your logs. This is very efficient product for who is doing production support .

What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to debug the issues by going through the sumologic account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the metric shows incorrect values.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use for tracking our environment logs.
Sumo Logic to the rescue
What do you like best about the product?
Creating complex search queries is very easy. Parsing the results into a certain format, such as JSON is also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed. When querying something >30 days the search is really slow. I have, however, noticed drastic improvements in the speed in which searches complete so I am guessing Sumo Logic has made great strides in their search speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have all of our production level logs funneled into Sumo Logic. It has made setting up alerts incredibly easy.

It’s helpful to have all of our logs in one place.

It would be helpful if there where more shortcuts to get to what we need and are looking for
