What do you like best about the product?
I like the way that we can create services, schedules & integrations. I used pager duty in my previous organization and suggested here. Pager duty is a good tool for on call, incident management and root cause analysis using a feature called postmortems
What do you dislike about the product?
Feels like a bit expensive. We can not point a pager duty to our subdomain. Some times pager duty triggers duplicate calls. Except that pager duty is a good tool for on call, incident management and root cause analysis using a feature called postmortems
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are using pager duty for our on-call purpose. it solved most of our problems. The postmortems are really awesome. We have integrated pager duty with data dog, AWS cloud watch and status page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pagerduty is a great tool for on call & incident management.

What do you like best about the product?
Love that we have the ability to notify whomever it maybe when we have an outage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to be honest - I'd like more flexibility in the Response Plays feature (one click multi-step actions you can run) to all
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PagerDuty lets us provide 24x7 support coverage without having the scale required to run a fully staffed 24x7 NOC. It ensures that we are on top of incidents before they are reported to us by customers, leading to increased customer satisfaction.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to integrate with different clients such as Slack or HipChat. The mobile apps, the filtering and different customization options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of using pager duty is that you have no excuse to miss a production issue!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get instant notifications. This helps us to tackle any major issue right away which could cause potential disasters in our application.

What do you like best about the product?
Multiple ways to alert.
Currently only person can receive a PD in a group.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having just one person as on-call, to whom the PD will be sent.
We have a scenario where we need a PD to be sent to two or more at the same time in the same GEO (who belong to same group).

Pagerduty Simplifies the Notification and Alerting Process

What do you like best about the product?
We like the ease of scheduling overrides as well as the scheduling itself. We love that you can use a variety of methods to get data into PagerDuty in order to create alerts. The mobile app is great and it is extremely easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the better features are not present in the basic subscription including incident grouping. We would also like to be able to customize the severity of a service or alert so change notification times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The aggregating of alerts and the notifications to various on call team members. The escalation policies are nice and we benefit from having team members notified immediately of problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you know which services and what customization you will need as it will affect the pricing tier that you will be in.

The user interface can be cleaned up more as for trying to manage schedules and swap on call rotations

We are able to prioritize and submit work to the correct teams based on the ticket

i could have this on my android phone. you can use the web or integrate this to a slack (a chat application)
can be configure for multiple alerts

some bugs in iphone which you cannot switch users without logging out

What do you like best about the product?
I like how versatile Pagerduty is in allowing me to set up various services to throw a page when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of a PC Based app to allow me to handle incidents directly from my desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pagerduty is configured to alert me when critical events occur, it sits on top of other logging and notification systems I have so it alerts me and my team whenever something serious has occurred.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive, easy to use interface and a multitude of pre-wired inputs makes it easy to start using Pagerduty and then when you are using it regularly some of the fantastic new features like response plays make it a dream. It really is the best thing to be woken up by!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative is the steep cost!!!!!

On-call rotations, alert aggregations and more recently, assigning alerts to the correct teams
