For me was interesting how faster could basic CRUD operations were exposed to consumption.
What do you like best about the product?
- Expose APIs to data sources.
- Swagger documentation of all APIs.
- Trial period time feels good.

- Cost, think that is expensive.
- In order to test more data sources needs to acess to trial period
- Improve documentation examples, need to do some research in order to understand how was working the access token API.

Reading data from different schemas in a easy way.
Really easy to set up, we started here rather than heavier AWS

It's pretty easy to get a REST API up and running for quick prototyping.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a little bit of a learning curve where you're aligning your understanding of APIs with the structure of the product.

It's a great way to spin up an API and unblock a development process.

It would be great if it had a GUI for query / update the data on the projetc's databases, to make small updates and queries.

What do you like best about the product?
For me personally, I love how easy it is to use, even for those with less experience with APIs. Unlike many other API development platforms, in DreamFactory manual coding isn't needed in most cases, this saves a lot of time and effort.
I was able to connect my MySQL database and set up user permissions for my new app in minutes, something that would have taken me hours of coding otherwise.

What do you dislike about the product?
For me it's the paid plans, it can sometimes be quite expensive for some people. Other than that, I am satisfied with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DreamFactory has been a gamechanger for me! As someone who's not a coding wizard, building APIs used to feel like a daunting task. But DreamFactory cuts through the complexity with its userfriendly interface and minimal coding requirements. No more getting bogged down in writing lines and lines of code . I can focus on what the API actually needs to do.
Saves hundreds of thousands of dollars on dev time
What do you like best about the product?
DreamFactory is extremely easy to use as their user interface is very easy to follow. You set up your connections using their configurable options and you immediately gain access to APIs that connect to you data. The various types of API connections that DreamFactory offers is top notch. HTTP, SOAP, REST, Scripting, Files, DBs, and the list goes on. Think about how much time you spend on creating your APIs for your applications. Take the number of hours multiplied by the cost of the resources it takes to code APIs into existence. DreamFactory abstracts that layer of complexity by automating it, delivering APIs that are ready to consume. It also integrates well with your applications. I use DreamFactory nearly every day to consume data from various data sources. The customer support is also top notch; the folks over at DreamFactory know what they're doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not run into anything that I dislike about DreamFactory. As a software developer and data engineer, the upsides far outweigh any potential downsides that may occur. DreamFactory has saved me so much time on API development that it's difficult to think of any downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DreamFactory abstracts the layer of complexity and time when it comes to developing APIs. For example, say I want to make an API that consumes data from a SQL Server. I would have to write the server side code, for example in Node or Python. I would then need to have a means of orchestrating that app on the cloud to generate an endpoint. Essentially, I would need knowledge in software development and cloud engineering. With DreamFactory, you connect to the DataSource and voila, out comes your API endpoint!
Easy, Rapid Creation of OpenAPI Services
What do you like best about the product?
Dreamfactory has enabled me to have easier, faster and more secure access to our on-site data sources than ever before. What used to take all day now only takes minutes. The ability to tailor what data is able to served and the access control are a HUGE benefit as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is a minor quibble, but the inability to create Swagger 2 / OpenAPI 2 compliant endpoints makes it cumbersome to use in conjunction with Microsoft's Azure or Power Platform. Though, I see that as more of a problem with Microsoft than Dreamfactory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It eliminates the need to create custom-written API endpoints to access our data services. Dreamfactory allows us to rapidly connect to our onsite MSSQL databases and make the data accessible to our internal web applications.
Easier API Generation
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive gui which makes developer job easier. Have been using dream factory to generate apis for MySQL. It helps in decreasing the work of developer to generate corresponding APIs for a given db

Nothing as of now. Very great work by dream factory team to help the developers to complete their APIs calls in no time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a integration through which the pipeline is run. On top of integration layer we have a reporting layer which helps the client to know about their payroll reports and so on. For calling the methods as an API in reporting layer we are using Dream factory.
It works for the limited use case we have very well.
What do you like best about the product?
The support/sales team are great, the GUI is fairly intuitive. We have a very limited use case and this was set up for us by an implementer, but the elements we need to look at on occasion are simple to locate and understand. It has never failed to be operating in the 4 years we have it working for our Salesforce integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not scalable in terms of pricing, our setup is very small in terms of what it processes, it would be nice to be able to scale this based on the small number of transactions we are handling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration between an ageing ERP and the modern Salesforce CRM platform. It benefits us as we don't have to spend lots of time keying information into multiple systems, which would require a larger administration team.
