What do you like best about the product?
- SPSS has comprehensive statistical technics in tables, graphs, diagrams etc.
- SPSS can provide you with powerful metrics that you cannot get with spreadsheets. This can enhance decision making in an organization
- Since SPSS has a simple and easy to use Graphic User interface
- SPSS can help you quickly write reports since you can export the results from the application to Microsoft Word or Excel

What do you dislike about the product?
- SPSS has a steep learning curve. You may not be able to do much without enough knowledge on how to use the application. Most of the time, formal training and certification is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SPSS provides powerful analytical statistics metrics for decision making in our company

If you are in in organization where you interact volumes of data which needs to be analysed, you probably should be using SPSS.

What do you like best about the product?
SPSS is quite easy to use, especially for someone with no programming experience looking to do data analysis as there is no syntax -- just select what you want. Also, a lot of information is readily available on the internet just in case you're uncertain about what to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about SPSS as yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used SPSS to to statistical analysis on data science projects at university. It saves a lot of time, compared to using a programming software.
A great tool for beginner and intermediate data analysts
What do you like best about the product?
My overall experience with SPSS has been great and I strongly recommend it. It is very useful in my role. as most of research projects deal with descriptive and multivariate statistical approach. I have been a user for over ten years and it has provided very good functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be costly. Not as powerful on larger data sets, or more complicated analysis (time series).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great introductory data analysis software tool. It's very user friendly for trying out new analysis techniques, as you can use a drop and click technique, as opposed to coding.
Love the functionalities that SPSS provides

The learning curve is pretty steep, so quite some time needs to be invested up front

Being able to so advanced analytics that Excel can't really handle too well

this product is much easier to use than other statistical analyses products like R

IBM SPSS is very expensive and you really can’t use it unless your company pays for it

The most sophisticated tool for statistical analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I like this software because I can easily integrate R with it. With the combination of these two applications creates an unmatched synergy. In addition to many possibilities of integrations, I like SPSS Statistics because advanced regressions are super easy to make with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
SPSS Statistics has one big drawback. It has a very outdated design. One might think that application is from the early 90s.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SPSS Statistics has made it possible for me to find many patterns within the Big Data. I think that many of the decisions that the company makes is based on the statistics and I do not know a better application for analysis than SPSS statistics!

it might seem pricey at first but the benefits far outweigh the costs!
Great for basic social science research
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can use drop down menus to run analyses in additional to writing syntax. The output is very easy to understand. This is a good beginning software for psychology research. There are many help forums on the internet to help with troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging to learn the syntax to run more advanced analyses and the drop-down menus can be tedious. I wish there was a straightforward way to learn the syntax. Some of the names of the statistical analyses in the drop-downs do not align with terminology used in intro stats classes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running analyses to look at group differences, trends, and logistic regression in psychological research. It is very simple to learn initially.

Good for basic statistics (t-tests, ANOVA, regression, etc)
