SPSS
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it is pretty straight forward to run simple regressions and data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the major setbacks of SPSS for me is that I do not like how the graphs look and always have to recreate them for my poster presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SPSS to run my data analysis for my projects. It gives me ways to represent my data as well
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Wonderful software for research excellence
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of syntax usability and interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to view the field of interest in data view at top of table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quantitative analysis of substance use and hiv-related medical and behavioral health conditions.
Quite easy to upload data for modeling
What do you like best about the product?
The UI drop and connect is very easy to put together modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
The help key to explain terms could be expanded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing its use for predictive analysis.
SPSS. The best tool for quantitative analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
There are many tools for doing statistical analysis, for example R (free) and SAS, but SPPS continues being the best.
I like SPSS because:
- SPSS is easier to learn than R, which requires the user has programming knowledge. I have been in R courses but it is a complex program for doing advanced statistics.
- SPSS provides a table/sheet interface similar to Excel. This allows a quick learning curve. The main statistics tests are easy to find in the menus.
- I worth how SPSS present the results using tables or diagrams, because all the parameters of the graphics can be changed (like fonts, colors, sizes and scales, etc.)
- It allows you to be sure of what are you doing, which is one of the main errors that researchers do.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think SPSS has some aspects to improve:
- The price, having into account that there is a tool like R which is being improving constantly.
- The interface. It is true that SPSS has a common interface with menus, buttons, windows and dialogs, but it has a very poor finish. The mouse movements become difficult because of this lack of precision of the graphical user interface.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SPSS for educational research purposes. For example to calculate descriptive statistics, like means, standard deviation, etc., but I could do the same using Excel. Then, I use SPSS to pose and solve contrasts between groups using parametrical t-test, ANOVA and non-parametrical test.
With the results obtained using SPSS I can publish papers in journals.

If you are competent with statistics try to learn R too.
SPSS Statistics for Business Development pipeline optimization

The tool is easy to deploy and use. It's also very easy to scale so that multiple data scientists can collaborate to optimize their predictive models.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest push back we get from our partner functions is the cost, but they soon realize the ROI. So no real issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are developing predictive models to try to determine the probability of award of the pursuits identified in our business development pipeline. We want to provide objective data and to inform the strategic decisions at front end of the business.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The interface makes it easier to use than excel, and with much better graphics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning to model can take some time but when you have it its easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supply chain, color selection and other pipeline issues. We have had a huge ROI on its iimplementation, almost right away,
