What do you like best about the product?
IBM SPSS statisticas tool is a very powerful predictive modeling tool including text mining, and it can handle tons of varibles for business cases. It also can provide some prelimiary insights on what variables are most relevant if you want to exam them first.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is great for predictive modeling
Great functionality but expensive
What do you like best about the product?
I typically use this type of software for Data analytics e.g., building regression models. I like the plug and play functionality and that anyone who understands the maths and statistics can use the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I prefer open source tools because they're transferrable across different companies and clients. If I have to train or empower clients to produce their own analysis, they would struggle with SPSS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am typically solving data problems and building analytics models. The benefits are that it is plug and play. If the data set is straight forward then the tool just works.

Survey process with Stafs
What do you like best about the product?
Text Analytics for Survey is a very useful tool that responded to the analysis needs of clients working on surveys, mainly universities or social work entities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be improved that its processing capacity is small, although its corporate version is within Modeler Premium, it is necessary to enhance it. I was informed that this product would no longer be developed by IBM, which is a shame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Surveys on social studies and student dropout in universities
Overpriced for capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The drop down menus make it nice for a novice statistician to use your program in a sophisticated way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is way out of line when you compare it products like STATA. If you were to develop a community similar to STATA that are able to write free statistical packages you would be able to keep prices down and allow more timely updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social science statistics typically. The verification of awardee statistics. FYI the purpose question below is for none of the above, but that was not an option...I selected Predictive analytics to get past the question.
