Extensive and accessible help modules plus a simple interface makes this program easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
This program has stayed very consistent throughout the 7 years I have used it and the menus have most everything involving data analytics that I could want. Various statistical methods and conditions are easy to select between and I love that the output box has a linked outline to easily find the test result you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Statistical outputs can sometimes have a lot of extraneous information that does nothing but confuse students and clutter the output. Luckily there is the outlined output for easy access!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis for publishable research studies. Benefits include so many different statistical options - allowing versatile use of the program for many projects!
A great tool for the statistical analysis of data
What do you like best about the product?
The range of statistical functions to do data analyses and modelling. It has different functions to pre-process and visualize data. It is easy to use and very convenient to do research. It's user-friendly and can be used with little training. You can perform simple analysis like descriptive statistics but also more advanced using regression, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes it runs slow and it's not so flexible for presenting data in other formats. But to be honest, I'm satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use it to conduct research through analysis. The main benefit is that it is very easy to use and I can train others without wasting too much time because its interface is intuitive.

You can run all sorts of research data analyses on this program without needing to write any codes.

It's hard to figure out which analysis to use at times just by navigating through the program. There is no guide. You need basic research analyses knowledge.

If you're looking for an analysis package that will calculate basic statistics, SPSS is for you. It has an easy to use interface for new users as well as syntax programming for more experienced users. It falls short of providing all one might need in terms on complicated statistical analyses, like structured equation modeling, but is a solid basic program to meet most needs.

No complaints. Overall am very satisfied with the product and ease of use. A lot of good sources online when in doubt.

SPSS as a Research Assistant
What do you like best about the product?
SPSS is commonly used at my workplace and school for data analysis. I enjoy its relative ease of use, as my tutorial class demonstrated how, with a methodical nature, you can perform a lot of complex statistical analyses; it helps walk you through it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a fan of certain aspects SPSS design interface. It can be complicated at times and is not very aesthetically pleasing. I don't like how exporting is done with this program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use SPSS for statistical analyses such as ANOVA and repeated measures analyses, which are common in our research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend brushing up on your basic statistical knowledge if you are not familiar with such aspects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it gives you different types of outputs just like a stats calculator does. For example, 0.01, 0.05, level of significance. I like that you can enter lots of data at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the complexity of it. Its not as easy to use like a stats calculator. its not the same like a stats calc.

I am solving research problems related to school. demographics and such.
