I have used IBM SPSS Statistics primarily for survey analysis. It did what was necessary, including crosstabs, correlation, regression, chi-squared, and similar analyses that you see in published papers. These are the types of analyses I have used it for in my research.

IBM SPSS Statistics has been pretty reliable for many years.

IBM SPSS Statistics is widely used in universities or organizations with a budget for it, so scalability issues are more about financial constraints than technical ones.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Recently, I have moved away from IBM SPSS Statistics and have been using KNIME instead. It's easier, particularly for students. I've been using R alongside KNIME as well.
How was the initial setup?
I did not have to do the initial setup for IBM SPSS Statistics since it was managed by the university.

The university's tech team handled the implementation and setup for IBM SPSS Statistics.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The cost of IBM SPSS Statistics is managed by organizations, not individual researchers. It is a very expensive product, despite being good.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Besides IBM SPSS Statistics, I have used KNIME and recently started using R, which is free of charge and more powerful but cumbersome. RStudio is its front end, making it useful to scientists.
What other advice do I have?
While IBM SPSS Statistics is a good product, it is very expensive and might be a better fit for those with a sufficient budget. KNIME provides a desktop version free of charge, which helps users get started.

It can handle large amount of data and very helpful in performing data validation, data modification, data analysis and making charts and reports.

It is good software with lots of features but is very slow in terms of processing time.

Analsyis of data during my desertation that includes data cleaning, ttest, chisquaretest,regression analysis.
The software is decent but support is a joke

I was trained on it so if I need to remember how to do some weird analysis, I can flip back in my stats textbook and use it as a reference.

Where do I start? It's expensive, and if something breaks, good luck with support. I've wasted literally a week of time just trying to pay them for my license. I'm not kidding. They outsource to mexico and have a ton of turnover so everytime I try to email our account rep, they're no longer there. I will never use another IBM product.

Helps me with all quant analysis. Understanding whether a difference is meaningful or random error.
I have worked in a SPSS tool for almost 2 years. And it was best tool to check the data logically.

Large number of data can easily be checked in SPSS and takes less time than other tools.

Well sometimes the scrolling thing is too hectic when we have to jump or bring some data from one place to another place which is far away in the column.

Large numbers of data which we can check logically as logical errors are the most concerning and we can check them easily.
Great experience with IBM SPSS

I found ibm spss to be very user friendly. It offered many different statistics tests and it seemed like the options were endless!

I found some of the statistical tests hard to figure out but this was more of a user error.

It is taking a lot of information and data and giving me numbers so I don't have to do the math and m statistics myself.

What do you like best about the product?
I used IBM SPSS for my Data Analysis of a PHd Student and it was super easy to use. I used the correlation analysis and T Test and Regression, Kurtosis and Skewness test and the results were very understandable

The UI of IBM SPSS isn't updated since a long time and now we should get much better and easy to use interface.

It gives quick overview and detailed insights very easily. The thing I like most is the simplicity, it's easy to use and have a great community support

There is nothing as such I dislike but some people may find is costly.

In my case the client wants to have some business friendly insights from the customers data and IBM SPSS helped me in many ways, by using it I can perform various test specially ANOVA and t tests very efficiently on such a large dataset.
