Statistical analysis experience
What do you like best about the product?
I love that SPSS is so simple to use! A lot of other statistical analysis programs require coding and are a lot more intricate
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that SPSS formats outputs that look terrible and the interface is awful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SPSS can run really slow sometimes! I love the built in tools for data manipulation and am very comfortable with SPSS making it easier for me to get my work done

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are short cuts for performing simple actions/Analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics)
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there are issues with copying and pasting data into the data tab and that outputs are not as customizeable as I would like (include extraneous information)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it to analyze quantitative market research results and compare groups/understand key differences between groups and inform reports for clients. Useful to be able to export output to excel
Powerful and effective, if used properly.
What do you like best about the product?
PSS makes it so easy to perform complex analysis (e.g. segmenting data sets). However, I do think we underutilize SPSS and don't use it to it's fullest. This is probably due to a lack of training and understanding of it's capabilities as it can do much much more than we currently use it for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could be easier to work with as well as a better help menu to troubleshoot/answer questions. When I don't know how to do something in SPSS it is not an easy process to figure out the answer. Usually it requires a lot of confusing blogs and reading through user's posts to determine the solution instead of having a simple help menu in SPSS itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are largely using SPSS to format data to use in developing crosstabs from marketing research projects. We also use SPSS when segmenting our survey data in order to perform K-means analysis and other statistical algorithms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are going to use SPSS, really know and understand it. There is SO much that it can do but it is too often under utilized.

What do you like best about the product?
Can provide detailed statistical analysis of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Has some limitations. But provides enough for those who aren’t experienced at coding using R+

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful tool to run analysis of 100k+ records rather than bogging down cpu processor and waiting 5 minutes for it to freeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricey unless license is purchased for institution or student

Enrollment funnel analytics, predictive modeling (regression), personality t-tests
Healthcare Research Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive. Ease of use. Can import datasets from other sources such as .txt or .xlsx
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as powerful as SAS. The graphs can be very sterile. Usually create my own graphs. Tables facilitate customization of graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick analyses.

I prefer SPSS to SAS. For my. needs, SPSS is perfect.
Expensive since acquisition, but still a powerful tool

Since IBM acquired SPSS the cost doubled. Tough for non-profits like us.

It is very easy to do the statistical tests through SPSS. If you have the experience of working in Excel environment, then you can learn how to work in SPSS very easy.

Sometimes it is so slow, specially when you are working with big data.

I did lots of test using SPSS for my project. To test if the two groups are statistically different, I usually prefer SPSS.

I recommend SPSS for those who want to do the statistical test in an easy way.
SPSS Review
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best statistical software programs! I have used this program at two campuses now - a local client download to my machine and also through a web portal. Straightforward tools and helpful support staff. Very simple to import and export data in a wide variety of data formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - it does exactly what we had hoped it would do!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faculty are utilizing SPSS in the classroom to teach statistics and employ SPSS in their research.
A strong tool for statistical analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I'd like to say it is a nice and cool tool for statistical analysis. I did lots of tests, like ANOVA, T-test, ... using SPSS
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe user interface of this soft could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solved the problem with comparisons of the samples for my projects.

If you are looking for a statistical tool or soft, SPSS is a good choice.
