An excellent self-service tool for agile data analysis, cleansing, and enhancement.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease-of-use for data preparation tasks, such as exploration, profiling, parsing, validation, cleansing, enhancement and similar data quality techniques. There is also very advanced features, such as dependency analysis and entity resolution.

Aperture speeds up ad hoc analysis, data preparation and similar tasks dramatically in comparison to hiring a data engineer to do the task. More importantly, data engineers often do not know what to look for and they need detailed specifications. Therefore, Aperture brings data to business users, analysts and architects who know the business and objectives reducing the need for long problem solving projects and sprints and epics. The tasks that would be several sprints or even epics in traditional code-based development, were done in days. Aperture can be used to monitor CRMs, cleanse transfer files, validate compliance, analyse newly found data anomalies conserning business users and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing has been a problem without significant discounts. At the same time, if a company has to hire continuously external consultants, they will save a significant amount of money by investing to a tool like this and doing things by themselves or turning typical consultant assignments from months to days. It happened to me too so consulting houses might not like it. Customers can do a lot after seeing a few first projects and then just order extra work now and then for wider or truly complex needs.

Another drawback is also that this does not scale to use cases like true big data and iot streaming data with full devops practices. Therefore, ICT departments might prefer other tools while data governance and management offices working with business might prefer Aperture. Tens millions records are just fine but true big data has massive scalability requirements. Yet, choosing a tool meant for data engineers working with big data does not provide advantages like Aperture. You end up working with slow sprints, endless communication rounds, and costly ICT-heavy projects.

Choose a tool and experts for your needs and test them beforehands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aperture helps to understand your data contents, recognize and analyze its problems, monitor compliance and improve its quality. It speeds up analyses and solution delivery dramatically due to its ease-of-use and advanced features.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface and exclusive options like single customer view, data preparation, data migration etc. Made me choose this product specially. I really like their Structure and pro active approach
What do you dislike about the product?
I really appreciate if they could lower their prices. Because compairing to similar products their prices are little bit high. Of they can lower the prices a little bit more then they can promote this platform and engage with the market more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly manage data preparation and data migration process in a part of my company. It is a really helpful platform to use specially for small size companies. And it also helped me to increase the productivity of that part of my company.
