Effortless Global IT Logistics and Outstanding Partnership

What do you like best about the product?
We’re still early with Firstbase, but it’s been smooth from the start. They make global IT logistics actually work getting devices to new hires in challenging territories, handling returns and offboarding without the usual headaches. Their team is responsive and feels like a real partner, not just a vendor. Looking forward to scaling with them in Q1.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major yet. It’s been smooth. We’ll see how they handle higher volume as we ramp, but so far, no real complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global device logistics. Expanding internationally means dealing with shipping, customs, device recovery, offboarding - all the stuff that bogs down IT teams and requires extra headcount. Firstbase handles it so we don’t have to build that infrastructure ourselves. That’s valuable.

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase streamlines the process of managing, shipping, and tracking equipment information at my company. The platform is easy to use and I am glad we have it implemented
What do you dislike about the product?
Shipping times sometimes takes longer than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When devices need to be refreshed, it’s an easy way to keep track of that and what user is currently assigned to that device. I also like that it verifies the return address from its customers now

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Firstbase is very responsive and helpful when there are issues; they act on it immediately. What works well with Firstbase is that there are periodic meetings with Firstbase agents to understand our concerns and what they can do better. The setup was very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen laptops that were previously used sent to other employees that were not cleaned. Firstbase can work on that. Firstbase should clean the computer more so it is better presented to the employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase offloads the configuration process, letting us focus on important tasks. It's responsive, helpful with issues, and offers periodic meetings for feedback. However, laptop cleanliness could be improved.

What do you like best about the product?

Nothing, really, it's great; it has developed a lot over the last few years.

Streamlined Equipment Management Made Easy

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Firstbase consolidates everything into one platform, replacing multiple vendors and significantly reducing the manual work for our team. It helps us save time instead of manually visiting different sites to obtain the information we need about a device. Their customer support is great too; I don't hesitate to reach out to them, and I know they will respond promptly. I appreciate the syncs with our Sales team, as they are constantly requesting improvements to the Firstbase portal, and changes are implemented based on our feedback. It was easy to set up, and the Firstbase team successfully assisted us in transferring all our equipment information. I would give them 10 because it has made our work easier to manage, especially since we are no longer spending hours erasing/assessing computers and updating our portals. They ensure that everything is updated once a computer is returned.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement would be the addition of detailed reporting or customization options. I would like to access the portal, and instead of filtering for the devices we have, I would like a filter that shows the number of devices available per warehouse. Just a quick overview of our current inventory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase consolidates equipment management and recycling into one platform, saving us significant time. They handle equipment outreach and returns, replacing multiple vendors. This eases tracking equipment lifecycles, and their prompt support aligns well with our team's needs.

Efficient Global Logistics But Needs Faster Shipping

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to spin up warehouses in target geos, which allows me to procure products locally instead of having to ship everything from the US. This feature makes it possible for me to purchase a laptop in Germany, have it arrive in our EU warehouse, and then easily get it to the local contact. Firstbase also integrates seamlessly into our HIRS and Okta, which is really beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes speed is the biggest issue internationally, not every location has expedited shipping. It took a while to come up with a standard inventory list, and ship all of our current inventory there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase reduces the time and effort our IT team spends boxing and shipping laptops internationally. It also allows us to spin up local warehouses, so we can procure products like laptops in target regions, avoiding the hassle of shipping everything from the US.

Game Changer for Managing Equipment Across a Distributed Workforce

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase has made managing remote employee equipment incredibly easy. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and has significantly reduced the time we spend onboarding new hires each week. It’s such a relief to offload the heavy lifting to a partner we trust.

Our Customer Onboarding & Success Manager, Paige, has been fantastic to work with. She guided us through implementation step by step and ensured a smooth, successful rollout. She’s always quick to coordinate with the right teams at Firstbase to provide updates on logistics, integrations, pricing, and technical support, making the entire experience painless.

We’ve also had the opportunity to engage with the product team, share feature requests, and review their roadmap. The recent release of advanced filters has been a great enhancement for our workflows, and we’re confident the platform will continue to evolve in ways that support our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where we ran into challenges was with the integration for our HRIS, which Firstbase provides through Merge.dev. We entered implementation assuming the integration would work out of the box with our existing processes, but we discovered a limitation in how our HRIS handles new hires versus active employees. New hires aren’t created as employee records until after they complete their onboarding tasks, yet Firstbase relies on those employee records to identify new hires and trigger welcome emails. By the time the record exists, it’s already too late in the workflow for timely equipment delivery.

To be clear, this behavior is an HRIS limitation, not a Firstbase issue. However, we were hoping Firstbase would be more familiar with the nuances of the integration they provide and flag this as a potential challenge during implementation. Ultimately, we built a custom automation using the Firstbase API to deliver the onboarding experience we needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase solves the operational and logistical challenges of managing equipment for a distributed workforce.

The biggest benefits for us are the time savings, improved visibility, and the ability to deliver a consistent, customizable new-hire onboarding experience. Firstbase has streamlined both our onboarding and offboarding workflows and given us confidence that every employee receives exactly what they need, when they need it.

What do you like best about the product?
This solution provides an almost turnkey method for managing hardware assets, handling every stage from procurement to logistics. The platform itself is user-friendly, regularly updated with new features, and integrates seamlessly with existing tools and workflows. The customer success onboarding team was instrumental in ensuring a smooth rollout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although they collaborate with multiple resellers, they are still likely to face the same supply shortages that one would experience running in-house.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solution has allowed me to scale up my Security and IT teams so they can concentrate on truly securing our company, instead of spending their time on purchasing and logistics management.

Streamlined Device Management

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Firstbase handles all new hire device logistics automatically from our HRIS and takes care of automatic offboarding and peripheral purchases for offices. I love that in a few clicks, I can order devices to stock the warehouse and send device refreshes to existing employees. Most of our new hires' devices are dispatched without any input or action from my team, which has given us many hours back in our day to devote to other meaningful projects. The initial setup was very easy, and we had a wonderful experience with our Sales and Solutions team, and with our current CSM.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to see active warehouse stock. It would be helpful if the approval page showed how many devices are in stock so I could make better decisions about approving or updating orders. Some of our devices are custom ordered, and there's a long lead time to have the out-of-stock laptop drop shipped, so we try to avoid that by only approving devices that are in stock. Also, the UI for inventory orders can be tricky to navigate. Device spec availability can differ between countries, and I often struggle to find the exact laptop I want to purchase, and if I make a mistake, I have to email Support to cancel the order.
