Streamlined Asset Management with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how thorough the support team is when communicating with our employees, with multiple follow-up emails and including documentation and workflows for every situation. The Okta integration is a big plus as it creates new hire user accounts and auto-assigns equipment packages based on an employee's role or department, cutting down our manual work and giving us time back. It's pretty easy to set up Firstbase, thanks to the thorough documentation and our great Customer Success Manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have more visibility into laptops that require repairs. A repair portal where all devices needing repair cost approval are visible would be beneficial, rather than needing to ensure I'm not missing an email that is awaiting my approval. A portal where I can approve or decline repairs would be a great update to make their offered services be even more 'one stop shop'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase helps with laptop retrieval from offboarded employees and provides thorough support. The Okta integration reduces manual work by automating user account creation and equipment assignment, allowing us to focus on verification.
FirstBase Transformed Our Workflow and Slashed Workload
What do you like best about the product?
We did only just start with FirstBase, but after going through what I have gone through with a manual process and how time consuming it can be, especially when your role is supposed to be focused on what you specialize in for your career, they have cut my workload by 30-40%. I no longer have to "babysit" and constantly go back and follow up on tickets regarding laptops, I know that FirstBase is handling it. All coms, issues, arrangements are handled by FirstBase. All I have to do is place the order and i'm done because I know FirstBase is on it. My team, nor HR are continuously contacted anymore regarding tracking,"Is my laptop coming?", "When will it arrive?", etc. All coms are handled by FirstBase and the users know to contact FirstBase and not HR or my team in regards to logistics.
Even keeping devices topped up is handled by FirstBase.
Once you factor in all the time spent with the manual (in house) process, comms, orders, logistics, courier issues, tracking, and so on, it is more than worth making the switch. There are so many intangibles that you don't realize that they now take care of, leaving you to focus on the work you are meant to be focusing on.
It has been a night and day change so far, all for the best.

We have not been with them for too long, but the pro's far outweigh the cons, and by cons, there aren't really any that I can list.
If I had to say anything, is that they don't have a staff by back program.
We use their ITAD system, but every once in a while we have a user ask if they can buy their old laptop and we had hoped to have FirstBase handle that through their system. Also having a page on their site where our users can purchase old laptops that we no longer want in our fleet.
Honestly, this is not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to have something like this in the future.

Effortless Device Procurement and Remote Logistics
What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase has made device procurement and shipping way easier for our team. I like that I can place an order, track it, and trust the process without having to chase down vendors or shipping details. Their support team is also quick to respond whenever I need help or have a question.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge is shipping times - they can be a bit inconsistent, which is tough when we’re onboarding someone quickly. I’d also love more detailed reporting around device lifecycle, but overall nothing that breaks the experience.

It takes a lot of the manual work off our plate by handling shipments and retrievals for remote employees. It saves us time, keeps things organized, and makes onboarding a smoother experience.

The product is easy to use, encourages a get-it-done attitude, and offers excellent support whenever something goes wrong.

Pricing can be quite a challenge if your business operates globally.

I appreciate the worldwide shipping options, as well as the focus on the laptop lifecycle and the purchasing process.

What do you like best about the product?
Onboarding and offboarding for remote locations has become much simpler, thanks to the excellent support team. They are quick to respond and very knowledgeable. The interface is user-friendly and continues to improve over time.

I wish there is an expedite shipping for all locations. The lack of possibility to change the device descriptions once is registered.

We’re a remote-first company with employees across nearly every region. Firstbase has made it much easier for us to deliver and retrieve equipment, a process that used to be a major headache.

The team was fantastic to identify the all the pain points and work through all of them.
Implementation was pretty fast as well. Very easy to use and has lot of integration with top saas providers.

Working remotely and shipping out managed devices in different part of the workd is never easy. Firstbase has helped to take care of all device related issues fldeom delivering repair and also pick up from the users. You can hure from anywhere wbere they are present and you can be rest assured to have a company managed device on day 1.

Firstbase makes the whole remote equipment process feel simple. It takes a lot of the manual work off my plate, especially during onboarding and offboarding. Inventory is easy to track, orders go out without much fuss, and things generally just work the way they should. It saves me time and helps keep our hardware workflow from turning into a headache.

Turnaround times can vary, and there are moments when communication or updates lag.

Firstbase takes a huge amount of work off my plate by handling the entire equipment lifecycle for remote employees. It removes the manual logistics, the tracking, and the communication that normally comes with onboarding and offboarding. I don’t have to walk employees through the return process or chase down hardware because Firstbase manages all of that, including check-ins. I also appreciate that during offboarding I can choose to repair or recycle devices, which keeps our inventory clean and avoids unnecessary back-and-forth. Overall it saves a significant amount of time and keeps the whole workflow running smoothly so I can focus on real IT work instead of equipment wrangling.

There isn’t anything I truly dislike about Firstbase. If I had to name one limitation, it would be that their international coverage for shipping and retrieval isn’t as broad as some larger or more established competitors. That said, this feels more like a natural reflection of a company still scaling rather than a shortcoming.
Importantly, they’ve shown a real willingness to expand based on customer needs. I’ve made a few requests related to specific regions recently, and the team was receptive and responsive, which gives me confidence in their long-term flexibility and growth.

We initially sought out Firstbase after closing our last physical office and fully committing to a remote-first model. Without any physical real estate to manage devices and inventory, we needed a reliable partner that could not only store our assets, but also handle shipping and retrieval for employees across various locations. Firstbase has exceeded expectations on that front.
They take care of the entire lifecycle of our equipment from shipping to retrieval, cleaning, wiping, and secure storage. The quality of their device grading is excellent, and we’re promptly notified about any issues with returned hardware. As a result, we’ve seen a noticeable drop in support requests from employees receiving malfunctioning or poorly conditioned devices on their first day.

The support team - I have great confidence in their communication and troubleshooting skills. The interface is mostly very intuitive and easy to show others how to use.

Some interface quirks (like date selectors only letting you click through month by month, rather than being able to jump years), but nothing major.

FirstBase streamlines the user onboarding process by allowing you to select the requested equipment, place the order, and then let them handle everything else. They reach out to the user to confirm shipment and provide tracking information, making the process smooth and straightforward.
