Firstbase is an extension of our IT Department.

What do you like best about the product?
Logistics for a remote team are a nightmare that can consume a huge amount of time for IT. Firstbase steps in and the nightmare becomes a sweet dream with cotton candy clouds and babbling brooks of lemonade. Machines get to our new employees on time, all the time. When we have to collect a machine, Firstbase sends the whole return kit.
It saves us the equivalent of an FTE every year. I feel like they are an integral part of our IT team.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are a 100% remote company (like us) there are no real downsides.
Improvements can always be made in any platform, but all we have to do is speak up and Firstbase responds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company was in the first wave of companies who decided to go 100% remote during the COVID pandemic.
In the early days I handled shipping and receiving by myself and so I had an intimate insight into the effort required not only to make sure new people had their machines on time but that they had a good OOTBE. Before we had even grown that much I found I was spending half my week doing just this one task. I saw a rapidly approaching future where this was not going to be scalable.

On a recommendation from a friend in the industry I learned about Firstbase. Firstbase was literally able to take all of this over, freeing me up for the myriad of infrastructure projects I was coordinating and implementing at the time.

Fast forward to today. New employees are automatically created via integration and are easily assigned the proper machine for their role, which they get right before their first day. They can also self service requests peripherals and machine return is a snap. If we were still doing this today we would literally require another FTE to do this. Firstbase does it for substantially less than that.

Exceptional Support Team Makes Remote Work Seamless

What do you like best about the product?
The support team is outstanding! They are not only knowledgeable and helpful, but also genuinely kind. Whenever I reach out with questions or concerns, they are persistent in finding solutions and always collaborate with us to resolve any issues that arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we work remotely, it's understandable that not everything is flawless. The main issue I've noticed is that the status of a device occasionally doesn't reflect its actual state. However, the great part is that I can simply contact support, and they always update it on their end immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only does Firstbase manage our devices, but they also ensure that our inventory is stored securely. Because we have international employees and partners, we've faced issues with the security of some third-party vendor warehouses, which has occasionally led to theft. Firstbase assisted us in finding a reliable solution in two countries outside the US.

What do you like best about the product?
Shipping is easy, and the team takes clear ownership of every package. It’s essentially “order and step away,” with very little need for follow-up. They’re transparent about what they can and cannot do, and they’ve operated within those parameters 99.9% of the time. Over the past year and a half, they’ve consistently delivered great results.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to meet them in person at some point
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First base has streamlined out Laptop delivery and recovery on a a global scale.
I can focus on building and working on other projects rather than shipping logistics.

Revolutionizing IT Asset Management with Effortless Onboarding

What do you like best about the product?
I've onboarded Firstbase at two organizations now as an IT Engineer.
Firstbase is the modern IT asset management approach. Everything else is so dated. They're so cutting edge with how they handle this stuff that they don't really have any serious competitors right now.

Firstbase makes the IT asset management and logistics process extremely effortless for IT and HR, and creates an untouchable first impression for new hires. It really makes the IT department look modern and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their API could use some improvements, but the product team is extremely open to feedback and quick to action useful suggestions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT new joiner first impression is world class now
User and serial lifecycle fully automated
Finance extremely pleased with the cost savings and easy to generate financial reports.

Firstbase Streamlines Device Management and Onboarding for Distributed Teams

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase has made onboarding, offboarding, and device management remarkably smooth for our distributed team. They handle the full lifecycle — from new hire setups to hardware replacements and warranty repairs — all within a single platform. Offloading the logistics, communication, and tracking of equipment has saved our IT team a tremendous amount of time. Their platform continues to improve, and they’ve been genuinely receptive to feedback and feature requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only wish is that new roadmap features could arrive sooner — though it’s clear they’re building with quality and customer feedback in mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase has completely removed the friction of dealing with multiple hardware vendors. We can place an order, track its progress through the warehouse, and know it’ll be ready for deployment without extra effort. The automatic MDM enrollment has been a huge win — devices are configured and ready to go as soon as they reach the employee. It’s been a significant time and headache saver for our IT operations.

Effortless Global Hardware Management with Firstbase

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase allow us to operate globally without the need for us to implement solutions to all the logistical challenges that brings. From local device procurement to delivery and retrieval from end users, Firstbase reduces the effort for my team to a few mouse clicks. The Firstbase platform is excellent, we are using it as our single, global hardware asset management platform, which has also helped us with ISO27001 conformance.
What do you dislike about the product?
In regions where we have a local team it can be hard to justify the costs of Firstbase, however in our remote regions it is a no-brainer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing global hardware logistics, without me having to do it myself.

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase's platform is clean, simple and intuitive. Making it easy to get an automated and slick employee onboarding system set up and running.

The support from the Firstbase team is incredibly attentive and value driven - they understand the challenges in this space very well.

The tool offers a lit of simplicity yet depth of services. We were able to fully automate the employee onbardoing experience within a matter of hours.

There are very few tools that I would say provide immediate value from the start. Firstbase have nailed this and clearly add value from the start.
What do you dislike about the product?
Firstbase currently lacks a lot of customisation on the look and feel of the employee experience. A lot of functionality is abstracted to requests made to the engineering team.

They are also constrained to only the equipment they can source, rather than allowing me to bring my own equipment in addition, and make available to my employees.

They should support linux laptop deployments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The inital problem Firstbase was solving was unifying our employee onboarding IT procurement to a single, global source.
However they continued to solved problems for all IT lifecycle such as offboarding, equipment refresh and repair.
Lastly, as an automation first organisation they took our laborious manual process and with a powerful API we were able to build automation to make this a zero-touch service.

What do you like best about the product?
We've had a great experience with Firstbase. The product has been instrumental in simplifying our remote equipment management and onboarding process. It’s intuitive, efficient, and has saved us significant time and operational overhead. Their support team is responsive, and the platform has scaled well with our growing needs. We genuinely appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the product and the continuous improvements they've made.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Firstbase has the logistical knowledge and infrastructure to handle global equipment procurement and recovery, making it possible for our remote-first company to supply equipment to employees worldwide. The Firstbase team is the best part; they are communicative, proactive, and always willing to help. They listen to feedback and are continually improving their platform and services. Their platform makes managing our equipment very easy, from monitoring usage to tracking shipments. I appreciate being able to empower employees to pick out their own peripherals. The platform saves my small, busy Corp IT team a lot of time since we no longer spend excessive time packaging and shipping equipment for new hires. Recovering equipment outside of the US is also manageable now, despite not having offices or IT staff in most countries where we have employees. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the helpful, professional, and efficient implementation team at Firstbase.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their platform having an API allows us to do a lot, but I would like to see more official integrations with things like ITSMs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase solves logistics challenges for our remote-first company, saving us time by managing equipment procurement and recovery globally. Their platform simplifies equipment management, from monitoring usage to tracking shipments, and empowers employees to choose peripherals. The proactive team enhances this experience.

We do not worry about equipment anymore

What do you like best about the product?
It replaces the manual work of at least two people. We have eliminated all service desk hardware requests with Firstbase Self-Service. Their APIs also have allowed us to automate complex onboarding, retrievals and keep our inventory up to date. Minimum inventory levels also removed the worry of constantly having to monitor and buy inventory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI can be overwhelming once you start adding products and have to manage multiple regions. Things get purchased quickly as well, it would be nice to have a simple Cost Analysis page so I know how much we are spending globally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to pay my Service Desk or Engineers to manage our company inventory, they can focus on what they need to. Device deployment and retrieval is now automated and with minimum inventory levels set, I know that we will never be out of stock.
