A base for team and asset management
What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase is really helpful in managing team and company's assets in a single platform
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a bit pricy to as small company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is solving the most relevent problem of IT and Team management.
Scalable Asset Lifecycle Management Made Easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase takes the worry out of scaling IT operations globally and managing an increasingly remote workforce and makes it incredibly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Firstbase has a lot of great features and functionality and will only get better as it continues to grow and evolve. I hope they can continue to push into new regions without sacrificing their already outstanding operational excellence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstbase is helping us to automate our entire IT asset lifecycle from how we procure, deploy, replace, and dispose of our assets across the globe. This was previously a manual task and with Firstbase we've been able to automate the entire process while preserving the onboarding and offboarding experiences of our employees.
Global zero-touch fulfillment made easy
What do you like best about the product?
As a remote first company, Firstbase allows us to easily deploy and retrieve hardware around the globe as well as storing inventory outside of the home office. This allows us to act quickly and onboard new hires as we grow without focusing on the manual logistics side of hardware deployment. I'm also very appreciative of the quick response we receive when we need to engage Firstbase support for issues we can't resolve on our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love the ability to granularly select individual assets for deployment rather than pulling from an available pool of inventory; there are occasionally instances where we would prefer a specific serial or condition shipped to someone and aren't able to specify these requests. Additionally, as we grow in new markets, Firstbase isn't always available yet - we occasionally have use cases where Firstbase simply isn't an option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a remote first company and do not have the office space or manpower to handle shipping and retrieving assets to end users as we grow. Firstbase allows us to hand off that workload to them leaving us able to focus on the larger initiatives that a growing organization requires.

Single point of contact for all the GEO zones Firstbase supports.
Solid customer support. Patient reps that follow up and follow through. Pretty fast in my experience as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
My organization is remote first, so we never touch our hardware. We rely on Firstbase to manage our inventory. It would be great if the Firstbase platform was a fully fledged ITAM platform that could integrate with our SaaS apps like Okta, Jamf, Jira, etc and remove some of the manual upkeep IT has to perform today to update inventory records internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to never touch our hardware and lean on Firstbase to faciliate shipping and recieving for new hires and off-boards or replacement devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Firstbase is very easy to work with. Their customer service is great and very responsive. Any questions or issues are quickly taken care of. The implementation was very easy and fast. We were able to get them onboarded and serving our employees in under 1 month.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish their integration and API capabilities were a bit better.

End user hardware management and lifecycle.

What do you like best about the product?
User onboarding - my team was able to select devices and peripherals before they started, and they all arrived on time. Eliminated the forms I used to fill out as a manager to indicate what device that often got delayed/missed in process.
Support issues - when the screen broke on a team members laptop, they managed a loaner laptop
When employees leave, they sent a custom box, labels, emails to make it as easy to pack and drop off

I had a small issue with Support but it was handled professionally so there's not really a dislike but that's all I could think of

- Ease of communication with customer support team and dedicated account manager
- Flexible team who is constantly building new intergration and adding features. Since starting our contract we have see a new release of an HRIS connection and dashboard changes
- Employees love the ease of use in the portal. It's easy for them to order equipment before their first day, and FB does a good job of asset retrieval (saving us heaps of time internally).
- Connections with vendors across the world where your own ABM enrolled assets can be stored. This is a solid differentiator as competitors will want you to rent or purchase only through their portal.

What do you dislike about the product?
- The portal is a bit barebones. It functions perfectly for what you need but doesn’t provide any kind of audit logging or have great view filtering. Would love to see more detailed results of assets by type by location. It can get a little confusing.
- Understandably, adding new geolocations to their reach can take a bit of time. We have found some workarounds and FB’s reach is wide, but some additional work may be required. If you need a vendor with deep roots in a specific area, make sure you have a clear understanding of the geos you’re shipping to/from.

Firstbase has reduced the amount of time we spend shipping, recieveing and managing IT hardware. Instead of worrying when equiptment will arrive, our employees seamlessly get what they need when they need it. We can now focus on other parts of the employee experience.

We hope to have a photo option with serial number and company tag number of laptop in inventory section for audits
