Mod and the Super Advanced Reporting Capability
What do you like best about the product?
The mods are one of the latest and best feature I came across in the recent times. It is quite helpful for anyone to create visualizations on the go. The different mods available are - Gauge Mods, Funnel Mods,Violin Plot, Pareto Chart Mod and many.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is very expensive and not easy to implement too. It cannot be customised easily and are mainly used in the Oil & Gas, Pharma industries, tho it has been serving the purpose for us nicely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using the data collected from different well sources,enriching the data in Spotfire and analyzing it with the rich visualizations provided by it. Moreover, the advanced predictive analytics is allowing us to become more resilient. Also, We are reducing the manual labor required, ultimately providing cost savings for the company.

Self service BI Platform with basic to advanced data visualization capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
As a business analyst, I liked the quick dashboard development process. It is simple and easy to use. I could connect to all the On Prem and Cloud data sources, and generate insights on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire required me to go through a lot of licensing process, which made my life a bit challengeing with it. But the price is another pain, which can cause trouble to small companies but wasn't a challenge for us because it is a very big organisation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had problems in identifying and managing the customer data, since the volume was quite huge. Being an old firm, it had a lot of diverse data sources which extended the challenge even further. Spotfire came into the picture and helped with data exploration, data wrangling and reporting got improved significantly directly impacting the business revenue.
Great Visuals, Deeper Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire has helped with a lot of interactive visualizations, which conveyed the insights beautifully and helped us to make sense of the clinical trials data. With the coming of advanced AI and ML models in the name of Spotfire Statistica, It has enabled sharing of analytical workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
We faced a lot of issues while moving away from Spotfire. It has a lot of dependency and kind of got us stuck. The pricing is quite expensive as well for the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire streamlined the drug discovery and development process by enabling us to analyze large-scale omics data, identify potential drug targets, and prioritize lead compounds for further investigation. This accelerated the pace of research and reduced the time and cost associated with bringing new therapies to market. Not just that, it provides features such as audit trails, data encryption, and user access controls which made sure that we follow the regulatory standards and ensured data integrity and security.

What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire is a good analytics tools for creating self-service analytics for performing data analysis. It empowers our users to gain better insights through investigation and exploration of their data. They are able to perform transformations easily and add calculations on large datasets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is a powerful tool but can a little intimdating for citizen developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire is very instrumental with our Operations Analytics groups to investigate operational for viewing trends, reliability, failures. It's used to create efficiencies in operations, predict failures, and reduce costs.
Expert Software for Data Visualization Experts
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Spotfire for reporting purposes in our MRTA - data & Reporting team. It comes loaded with data visualization capabilities for large datasets and helped in identifying the trends & anomalies. It integrates well with all the data sources like Maximo and SAP Hana. D3.Js further extends its functionality by using custom visuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is quite expensive and only good for big companies in few domains like Oil & gas, Pharma and others. It is not quite responsive and doesn't come up with a mobile application to view the reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire has allowed me and my team to visualise the geospatial data which was getting generated from the well logs and reservoirs enabling us to effectively analyse the spatial relations and monitoring of the reservoirs. The features with predictive learning enabled us to schedule the preventive maintenance on time and avoid the need of corrective maintenance.

What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire helped to use data from sources like sales CRM, NPS, Market research and supply chain. It assisted me with creating interactive and visually appealing dashboards, charts and graphs enabling better understanding and communication of complex data in the FMCG company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of visuals offered in Spotfire is very limited and may cause trouble if you would like to present data differently. Can utilise d3.js visuals but that gets very complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire helped in identifying the bottlenecks, optimizing the inventory management and improving distribution efficiency by visualizing and analyzing the supply chain operations which had production data, logistics data and point of sale data for analysis. It also helped in creating targeting marketing and loyalty programs for the customers.
Interactive & Efficient UI for Dashboarding
What do you like best about the product?
Impressed with the interactivity of Spotfire dashboards, which enabled me to drill down into certain interest areas and get deeper insights. It has integrated well with our SQL Server Database, spreasheets and statistical softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it has proved to be a very useful software, but the license is very expensive. It has shown performance issues when dealing with large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Spotfire in Pfizer for creating the Customer Experience Dashboard which had key metrics like Satisfaction Scores, retention rates and Customer lifetime value. We were tracking these through excels but moved to Spotfire to create dashboards which provided real time value of these metrics and allowing us to continuously monitor and look into areas whcih required quick attention.
Analytics at your Fingertips with Spotfire
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the capability of embedding HTML, Python and Javascript in Spotfire. It has a good user interface which is easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is tough to understand for beginners. It requires extensive training and cost is expensive. Someone should train from their customer support team to fully understand the capabilties of Spotfire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire helped me to explore and create insights from clinical trials data. It has been our luck that I have gone through the TIBCO resource extensively in order to implement it for our company.
Fast & Reliable Data Reporting Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire has a lot of advanced data analytic capabilities and offers industry specific solutions helping accelerate the time to value for our company. It can be easily customised.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is very tough to learn and I can say this with 100% surity. Requires lot of time and effort to learn. It has very high cost associated with it.

Spotfire has connected to our data platforms and helped in analyzing the sales data to understand trends, customer behavior, and product performance. It also helped in optimizing the inventory management. Helped us in visualizing the customer data and understand their purchase behaviors.
Savior for reporting in Oil & Gas Industry
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire has a lot of connectors available to our domain, it enabled the connectivity to platforms like Maximo and SAP Hana in order to solve complex business problems. Spotfire also comes with a lot of data science capabilities which is helping us to drive innovation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is very limited to work on Windows platform, though there are workarounds for using it on MacOS or Linux, but they ain't as good as Windows. Customization options are very limited in Spotfire and not all the functionalities can be achieved through HTML or Iron Python.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire solves major challenges for us to connect to the data coming from the drilling operations, sensors and geological surveys. It helps us to analyse the data coming from these sources, identify pattersn and take informed decisions. It also helps with analyzing the geospatial data which I can say is a core feature of Spotfire, allowing us to map out exploration sites, well locations and other critical assets.
