Beautiful and quick
What do you like best about the product?
Easily display large amounts of data in easy to digest and beautiful formats. The product is only limited by your creativity and imagination. I have been using Tableau for about 2 years (in current role about 3 months) and am excited to develop dashboards for various departments to utilize
What do you dislike about the product?
Search feature on data is something you have to create yourself and there are multiple steps to doing it (no "Command + F" find function). Also sometimes not AS intuitive as it could be, but pretty close to being perfect. It's enough like Excel in the formula section that it can be an easy enough transition (if of course you are familiar enough with Excel formulas/comfortable with creating more complex formulas in Excel).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily visualizing large amounts of data in an easy to digest format, allowing us to identify trends and make the data actionable
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not always super intuitive so I would definitely recommend utilizing free online training materials such as YouTube or Google to learn best practices for Tableau Desktop.

Level of Detail expressions should be explained in more depth with more use cases

I love how much you can store and how many features there are available for all our reporting needs.

It takes forever to load. It's very slow and painful waiting for everything to load.

Reporting and data, sales and spend tracking. Historical data to provide benchmarks for our clients.

Excellent reporting that makes it easy to convey to key stake holders who is doing what accross the organization - and where the opportunity/missed opportunities are

Can get a little tricky figuring out the hierarchy rules but overall not too bad

Business Intelligence reports and data visualization using Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is great for dynamic modeling of data and reports where multiple fact tables are involved for building a trend report. It has impressive data visualization features. I like the easiness in building prompts for a report and a dashboard for multiple reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It provides a really cool forecasting feature which uses predictive analytics algorithms, but we cannot customize the algorithm. They can improve by creating an interface for tableau users to customize their own algorithms for forecasting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been building reliable data models for contact center data, for operational and analytical reports. This involves fetching data from Oracle Data Warehouse and Online Analytical Processing to generate Business Intelligence reports for historical data for customers like DHL, Citi

I highly recommend Tableau to people who want to save time on developing BI reports and have really interesting data visualizations! So go get going and install Tableau today!

What do you like best about the product?
Iused Salesforce Analytics to gather, store, analyze and manage data so that we can make predictions and learn more about our clients, sales and market. Having this information was key to our sales teams, helped us establish better rapport with customers, ultimately bringing in more sales
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile feature. It is not that easy to navigate and missing some key features. Using this when out in the field was not as easy when my laptop was not readily available. This would be the only feature that i would improve on

We were solving the problem of keeping all of our information in one place, easy to access and helped our sales teams achieve more sales

Salesforce itself is a one stop shop. From their analytics to actual sales platforms, very helpful as an organization for everyone to be on the same page, and help reps achieve more sales

At times, it can take some research or troubleshooting to figure out solutions when new to the platform. Could be more intuitive.

Learn a New Skill
What do you like best about the product?
I recently used this product to plot the hometowns of the Science and Math majors within our department. It was simple to use and allowed me to easily import data and edit the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to the software. It took me a little time to understand how to use but the videos were very helpful and walked me through each step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us understand the demographics of students we serve and what areas are must successful for recruiting within our departments. It has taken a lot of legwork out of this data study for me and really pieced it together in an easily digestible format.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some time watching the videos and researching how to use the product on the internet. It is important to have sound data and make sure there are no typos before uploading it to the software.
SalesForce for USPS Sales
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is user friendly and that you can access for different platforms (i.e. laptop, iPad and iPhone). It is also interactive with Outlook which allows us to add activities from out into SalesForce.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the fact that not all of the information from a Sales opportunity will transfer between the different platforms when utilizing SalesForce.
