I like that Tableau is easy to learn and has a good user interface with simple codes. It's fast and helps create graphical models and images that I can directly add into presentations or emails. I also appreciate that it saves my previous work and includes redo-undo options, making it easy to continue where I left off. The easy sharing option and easier codes to fetch data than SQL are a big plus. The initial setup was very easy, which I found really helpful.

Effortless Data Exploration and Clear Visual Insights with Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
I would highly appreciate most about Tableau is how simple it is to explore and make sense of my data. With help of it I can simply drag elements, experiment with various chart types, and instantly see the results, all without having to search through complicated menus or write any formulas. Tableau is fast, it's visuals are crisp, and it helps me communicate insights clearly to colleagues who may not be analytics experts. At last it really streamlines the data process and makes it much less frustrating.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest frustration with Tableau is that many workflows seem unnecessarily complex. Even simple or minor changes often require more steps than I would anticipate, and some settings are hidden deep within menus that are not immediately intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solved the multiple issues and problems by allowing me to transform raw data into insights I can easily grasp. Rather than sifting through endless spreadsheets, I’m able to quickly identify trends, evaluate performance, and share dashboards with my team. And all this not only saves me a significant amount of time but helping me to make better decisions based on actual data rather than assumptions.
Balanced Experience with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I am not a developer, I am an analyst. I love that I can just drag a dimension onto the canvas, drag a measure, and BAM—a visualization appears. If I want to see it as a bar chart instead of a line, I just click a button
I can publish a complex view, and then my non-technical sales manager can click on a specific segment or region, and the entire dashboard instantly updates. It moves the analysis from IT to the business user.
I can connect it to pretty much anything we use: our cloud databases (BigQuery/Redshift), Salesforce, and even just a local Excel file if needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The Licensing & Cost Structure is Painful
2. Permissions: Managing user permissions and access rights is a maze of nested groups and settings. It takes too much time to ensure only the right people see the right data.
3. Tableau is fantastic for standard charts (bars, lines, maps), but the moment you want to do anything slightly custom or outside the box—like a non-standard chart layout or precise, pixel-perfect formatting—it turns into a hack

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem it solved for me was getting data out of spreadsheets and into people's hands, quickly.
Visual Exploration: It lets me actually see the data in a way Excel never could. If I see a weird spike in sales in a chart, I can instantly click on that area and drill down to the specific region or product that caused it. It turns passive reporting into active investigation.

Easy Dashboard Creation, Needs Better Templates
What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau mostly to create dashboards for our partners to get insights into our key metrics. I find it very easy to use and create dashboards. The setup is straightforward, and after learning the process, I can now create dashboards relatively quickly. It's also helpful because it allows multiple teams who are not data savvy to access key metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I find frustrating with Tableau is that through all of my dashboards I kind of use the same setup, but with different data sources, and so I find it annoying to have to constantly make small format changes. I feel like getting it visually appealing is often very time-consuming. Maybe with good templates for dashboards for specific types of data, like KPI metrics, it would be easier, as you could just have a template that you can use which has everything formatted just as you want it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to create dashboards, giving non-data savvy teams access to key metrics. It's easy to use and speeds up dashboard creation.
Powerful Insights, Minor Latency Issues

The initial setup was relatively simple, making it easy for my team to start using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the latency issues in Tableau. There's noticeable delay when generating metrics due to the large volume of engagement data, especially with email engagement data.
