Excellent platform for managing data
What do you like best about the product?
The software is excellent for efficiently managing large amounts of data. Reporting allows for exporting into many types of documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing can become quite expensive if you have a large number of users within your organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to easily manipulate large amounts of sales and other logistical data in multiple regions and convert those into various reports to be analyzed is a beneficial feature. Being able to turn those reports into dashboards etc., easily is extremely helpful.

Ability to view datasets and drive key insights in little to no time

Making formatting changes to charts feels more difficult and less intuitive than it should be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Tableau desktop to quickly create interactive charts. Biggest benefit is ability to chart a big dataset and quickly identify outliers or if there is any anomolous data in an Excel spreadsheet with 1000s of rows

The most helpful part of tableau desktop is the ability to see all of your data in one dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful part is that when you change the date range or any of the filters it usually takes too much time to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem we have solved with tableau desktop is unifying all of our data into one source that the entire business can use to analyze daily metrics from the sales to marketing departments all team members are logging in daily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have clean data before uploading into tableau as it could cause you to make marketing errors based on faulty data.

What do you like best about the product?
I used this software for my personal as well as professional projects. We can plot maps and entity wise see the details in very granule way.
We can also plot a polygon geo thing in the map and mark our area and search resources available inside it.
There are many different types of plots are available and filter is also used to show the details as we want we can also create filter as a temporary button so that we can switch on or off the specific filter.
We can easily used for our presentation and other analytics research purposes.
The most difficult thing is to sort the data in proper order.

Couldn't found anything to dislike. I found this tool very useful and easy to use.

I was creating a search based on polygon in the maps or we can say as rectangle which helps us to find all the records which stay inside it.

Our organization is using Tableau Desktop for a year now. It has become easy to work upon large volumes of data and perform predictive analysis effectively. The data visualizations help a lot to minimize efforts put into work upon the data. Tableau Desktop is one of the best tools available in its segment.

Logging in everytime. I wish if I used it everyday, it would not ask for my credentials all the time.

Problems are it updates too frequently so I don;t know how to use updated system.

Great product for data analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server has a variety of ways to display and link data. These links can create comparisons across data sets that would be difficult to make in other programs. Tableau also has multiple ways to filter through data to find high-impact areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau integration can be difficult, so some of the data pipelines are fragile. Also, when data is linked to other dashboards, the raw data exports become muddy with duplicate entries and losing date range specifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our department is driving new initiatives to be more data-driven and proactive rather than reactive. Tableau data is helping us understand and manage our business so that we can make data-based decisions
