Versatile, with a solid, scalable design. It offers a broad range of features and an industry-leading BI tool.

The cost feels inhibiting, especially compared to Power BI, for example.

Moving away from traditional reporting and instead promoting a BI infrastructure adds tremendous value for users.
A Versatile Tool for Multisource Visualizations
What do you like best about the product?
I like Tableau's ability to look at multiple data sources and contrast them. It allows me to visualize data across email, programmatic, search, and other vendors without having to do everything in Snowflake. The initial setup was easy, making the process smooth and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love the ability to switch hierarchies on the fly. Sometimes I have cuts of data with a hierarchy at a deep level. Switching the top layer of hierarchy in a visual allows me to use one table without having to click deeper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau for daily analytics across multiple clients. It allows me to visualize data from email, programmatic, search, and other vendors, without needing to rely entirely on Snowflake.

The best visualizations available, and it works well with large datasets.

I sometimes run into issues with Tableau Desktop when developing reports—it doesn’t handle certain situations very well. Also, there are limitations with window functions when using a secondary data source, which I don’t like.

Effortless BI Dashboards, Solving Complex Data Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau on a daily basis for our telecom project's BI analytics, and it provides a good amount of information in analytics dashboards, which is crucial for us. Tableau helps us create charts and data models, addressing our need to show real-time data and historical trends to our customers. I like that it combines all data for trend analysis, which is a big requirement for us. I personally feel that Tableau is significantly used for business intelligence, graph, and chart preparation. The data analytics feature is mostly used, as it helps us get a real picture of churn rates or total activation or migration data without struggling with database queries. It's quite easy to manage with a self-help portal for product documentation, helping employees understand how to prepare BI data reports with graphs and charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be SOAP integration which was not there in Tableau. Hence the CDR related data and graph not generated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to show real-time data and historical trends, which helps create charts and data models for telecom BI analytics. It combines data for trend analysis and eases analytics for subscriber transactions like churn rate.
