Tableau Data
What do you like best about the product?
That the reports are sortable and that we can have the raw data available, or we can have specific data when needed. The system is easy to use, and we can have multiple people in the same report simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it doesn't update in real-time, and we may have to wait for the information we need. The reporting doesn't always come in at the same time each day, we have waiting time consistently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to track our car share cars and member complaints about the cars. We also use it for our AAA national calls, and it shows how many have been clear and reports service levels to make sure we comply with standards implemented by national AAA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is effortless to use but not always quick. We use it for a few lines of business, and it has met our needs to assist with the data we need. We use it for basic data as well as more complicated reporting and have had few issues.

What do you like best about the product?
After having many stakeholders download Tableau Reader for so long to see a dashboard, it's a far more accessible place to assign certain dashboards to specific groups of people I want to grant access. Plus, viz's can be updated straight from Tableau Desktop and even scheduled.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may be specific to how much data from my company is on the server, but clicking into new pages or tabs can cause the uploading of each view to be somewhat slow/delayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made the visualization more accessible to more people. It has taken the load off me to get people to download Tableau Reader from the web and then wait on me to refresh and email a packaged workbook to everyone at a certain cadence.
Data extraction and understanding has now become super easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau as a Data viz tool is preferred by many organizations and rightly so. If you have a strong understanding of your Data, Tableau provides infinite possibilities to represent it as a Viz. With high customization options by way of choosing between Bar charts, Pie charts, Line charts, etc, it comes in handy for CEO-level meetings where we can chalk out action points from the data at a glance. The Viz of the Day is a good place to get some daily inspiration as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little too complex for first-time users. Unless you create one or two Viz or take help from a tutorial, you might find it difficult to use it. Also, Tableau Public does not allow you to store the Viz to your local storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple visualization of data to drive impactful decisions at the top level. I have been able to customize the Viz as per the target audience.

Choose this over other data viz tools for the innumerable customization options it provides.

What do you like best about the product?
It provides many options of displaying, visualizing, creating beautiful and interactive dashboards that help creating presentations and dashboard emails for the customers. The processing is quick and the software provides many visualizations as well as charting functions which are absent from other software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is not user-friendly, and it takes time to get used to it. Have to attend a training on Youtube to get accustomed to the features and options of the tool

I have been using Tableau Desktop for some time now, ever since I started using Crowd Data Analytics in my company. CDA involves working with a massive amount of data, and quick processing and analysis are required to prepare dashboards. I found Tableau Desktop to be fulfilling all these tasks successfully.

It is mainly used for business intelligence that transforms a large amount of data into eye-catching visual representations like charts and graphs. It can be used to create stories, worksheets, and dashboards linking to data sources that can be either servers or files. It is best for developers to build in reports and provide insights to decision-makers. The license allows developers to directly access the data sources for adjustments and modifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs more analytics capabilities and adaptors for moving from other BI tools. It requires substantial training for new users because of the lack of pop-up messages, prompts, and quick help links in the presence of configurations. In simple words, it is not a toll that low-skilled users can figure out easily. The threat is that users might try to skip the training. In this case, the tool will work for basic queries but it will hold the organization back not because it cannot do this but because users are unable to make it work for nuanced tasks. It needs to simplify its user-interface to completely capitalize on the distributed business intelligence movement.

It allows users to build interactive dashboards with the simplicity of a drag and drop interface. It has a short learning curve. It easily connects to API or numerous data sources. It has the least learning curve and one of the best tools in space. It has made it easier to load and extract the data as it has multiple connectors. It works very fast. It offers a wide range of visualizations such as old familiar standbys. It also guides how to use each visualization.
