Ability to showcase data in so may formats and upto 24 charts available. Easy to use and share data with customers

Can be a bit complex to integrate files from other applications

Tableau has become so intuitive tool that it is actually beating its competitors by good margin and its ever changing features keeps us interested as always.

The drill down options line you have in excel. Please work on that.

Creating some visuals seem more tedious than they should be, arranging things on a dashboard is incredibly over-complicated process

Once integrated into your database, Tableau is an excellent resource to pull various charts, and specific data points.

Learning the integration between database and Tableau has a high learning curve for non-IT persons.

Easily pull data to create charts for meetings, reports, etc.

What I like best is the Tableau interface. It's a very smooth interface which is of utmost importance when you want to work faster. You can connect unlimited number of data connections and that is extremely useful.
One more thing I love about Tableau is the range of self learning tutorials that it provides. The tutorials are easy to follow and the community is really quick in responses.

What do you dislike about the product?
Pulling data from a database is a bit difficult in Tableau but if the user knows some basics of SQL or other query language, then I guess it's fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working as a business analyst. One of the major tasks is to present the end results or numbers in a way that can be understood by people who are not data analyst. Tableau is the solution to that problem. I use to visualise and present dynamic charts and graphs after all the analysis that I do on the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you have a grip of what Tableau is capable of, it makes data analytics much more interesting and dynamic for you. So do give it a try.

I like tableau mostly because it empowers me to build flexible and complex dashboards with ease, just prep the data and load, tableau does the rest.

The lack of some more complex capabilities for drilling down or link to “sister” dashboards/datasets.

The need for simple yet flexible (self serving) business health dashboards for upper management.

I am extremely fond of Tableau desktop. It has completely changed the way which we view and understand data. As compared to Microsoft Excel which we used earlier, it is extremely fast, many more visualization options are available, can connect to multiple sources of data and performance is top-notch as well. Tableau has the power to transform millions of rows of data into a meaningful graph or pie chart or any other structure which you choose and from that, you would be able to make out trends or patterns.
The AI provided in the tool is also very accurate and helps us while taking a decision based on the data provided. The main benefit which we have observed is that the data becomes really easy to read, understand and even correct for even a non-technical or higher management person. I have explored many tricks which help speed up the process and also increase the performance too. The ability to connect to multiple sources of data at the same time is invaluable and the speed of data ingestion has also increased drastically.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think this tool does the job perfectly what it is supposed to do but still, if I have to pinpoint any areas of improvements then I can think they should include tools to prepare and clean the data in the default package as well rather than extensions which one needs to buy separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to gain so much by using this tool in terms of productivity, performance and speeds. The data which took a lot of time earlier in Excel to be represented in a proper graphical form can be done in minutes here that too with customisations done to it. The data really comes to life with a warm colour scheme and beautiful presentation which almost anyone can understand and provide their inputs too.
