What do you like best about the product?
The visualisations are really good looking. Various types of charts and diagrams are available in the software which makes things really easy to interpret. You can add Colors based on different parameters available in the data. Importing data from different sources is readily available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The options are very messed up. Tableau being a visualisation software doesn't focus much on its own user interface. They should try to improve the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I created different visualisations like bar graph, histogram, and so on from data that was imported from SQL.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau offers multiple connexions to different datasources that will add more flexibility to your data analysis. Tableau also offers a collection of different data visualisations that can be easily customised. You can make your dashboard / reports interactive by using parameters and custom dimensions that will allow users to push input and use dimensions / filters for more insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
The live connexion to the datasources do not scale with the size of the dataset consumed. If you use live connexions on your database directly it might make it slower and less performant.
Another point to consider is that Tableau do not allow pushing values or charts using text fields, the only way to have numbers and charts pushed to the dashboard is through sheets.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick analysis and insights guaranteed. We use tableau desktop for analysis mainly and adhoc reports. With the use of tableau server, the tool helps our decision making as a company by providing a set of reports and dashboard that are critical to the business.
New and sleek tool to visualise data

The 14 day trial and the student options when one need them
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep price, but unlike other software options at least there is something for you for the money, if you make money with tableau at least it shows nice graphs and visualizations.

I was using it for my MSc thesis to check the visualisation options developed in my own python code.
Efficient Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Basic graphics made with an easy drag and drop interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not super user friendly when data “pills” need to be modified.

Data visualizations, allows me to sync and update a dashboard automatically which I enjoy.

Expensive but great opportunity provided.

I like being able to visualize all of the data based on customers, sales, costs, etc. It really helps us figure out what is working best and/or what needs to change.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a tad difficult to get specific graphs for specific data, but once you figure it out it's fine.

We are taking all of our internal data and improving our marketing techniques by figuring out what is working best for us.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding multiple data sets. The "pill format" and the relatively quick computing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to move around multiple worksheets at a time (in a dashboard). Can't copy and paste worksheets in a dashboard.

Summarizing schedule data in a visual way. Can create gantt charts in tableau.

Find a tutorial online to learn the basics.

Everything is in one place from the time the event is booked - all transactions, meeting requirements, phone calls, and finally, the BEO and banquet check.

I do not have any downsides currently that I could note.

The system solves the issue of having to use multiple systems to book, plan, and execute events.
