To analyze data in our Salesforce org. It helped us understand the trends and correlation between data
Tableau gets the job done for internal and external analysis needs

Tableau Desktop enables me to turn data on spreadsheets into impactful visual analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that it is so difficult to update Tableau dashboards with new information on Excel spreadsheets.

We are providing lawyers and decision makers with business intelligence made possible via Tableau.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that users take a Tabelau training course before using the platform as it is quite complex.
Good for visuals but there are caveats

Ability to make many types of visuals. Easy to publish dashboards to Tableau Server for non technical people to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workarounds are often needed to do simple things. Default visuals are very old school. Tableau needs sleeker chart styles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing large datasets with graphs. Creating dashboards for business users. Creating simple visuals for presentations.

Be aware that workarounds are needed to do simple things. Tableau's default visuals look very old school. They need to modernize the tool.
Best tool for effective data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Easy drag and drop options. Availability of multiple sourcing options such as excel, csv. Helpful Tableau community

Tool hangs sometime and the Tableau needs to be restarted. It creares user dissatisfaction

It is a full software. Salesforce has a lot of characteristics that makes it a great platfrom, several options and task to achive

In regards of all the things Salesforce can do, the instructions are (in my opinion) very vague on how to use this software at its fullest.

To have information more organized and find it more easily.

The Graphs That The Tableau Makes Are Easy Even For People Who Do Not Understand Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The way you drag and drop data makes it much easier to fill in the information, as well as the clean, clear graphics that any bed can understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it crashes with large amounts of data.

Easy to get the hang of and use. Very powerful tool for filtering large datasets and uncovering trends. It is also capable of creating custom formulas beyond raw data. The graphs that the tableau makes are easy even for people who do not understand analytics, ideal for end users, show information for managers and directors for example

All inclusive dashboard with the ability to customize the CRM

Nothing so far as we are still implementing the roll out.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is an excellent tool for anyone seeking to produce visualizations for a dataset. The overall design is very user-friendly and the support community is also vast. Finally the visuals produced with this program are stellar and well worth the products price.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to this program is its exceptional toolset. The software has the potential to do many tasks, however it does require a decent amount of training. By having so many tools it takes a while to achieve full mastery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main use for Tableau has been to create visualizations for various business data sets. From my experience tableau is able to offer a very robust set of tool enabling me to produce great charts and graphs. This has allowed me to produce visualizations which easily can be understood by clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definately a product worth looking into. It provides tremendous buisness potential when utlized and is well worth the cost. I personally believe it is one of the best visualizations tools available in the market today. Additionally the customer support team is also very helful along with the huge customer network.
Great business analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful and fast business analytics tools for as long as you keep your data in Salesforce. The look and feel of it is very modern and fancy. Not to forget that Dashboard can be customized for your taste. Secure to import/export data between Salesforce accounts. Pretty easy to use - you won't need big technical skills to set it up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't sync with outside data from Salesforce system. It could be a little bit pricey as you would need a few more features to setup and have the entire insights over the analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the problems we are solving are the ability to customize, connect, and deploy quickly. It is nice and simple to use.

If you have your CRM installed with Salesforce and you need to extract analytics from it I would recommend you using the Salesforce Sales Analytics. It could be a little bit pricey but it gives a lot of customization that can give you some interesting statistics about your business.
