User Friendly BI Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that Tableau can do schedule data refresh, share and subscribe a view/ dashboard, comment in the view. The most important thing, can do the data drill down.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that Tableau distrubute every quarterly a minor version, and almost every year a major version that makes user hard to follow all the functions on the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've created several dashboards which reflect the major KPI of company which allow the management borad can reach the genral view to monitoring the company's situation by having a simple look in dashboards.
Also a customer protal in Tableau have been created to link the published dashboards on Tableau server to give the users a single path to get all the different types of information.

Great self service BI tool ... should only get better with age
What do you like best about the product?
For an Enterprise level BI tool, it's fantastic somewhat "out of the box." It has a significant number of data connectors, as well as visualizations. From a user-experience, it's very friendly. The dashboards are great + easy to access. It's a tool that will allow you to gain quick insights from while a more sophisticated team or understanding will allow you to unlock even more potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like I mentioned in the pros section, it's a great "out of the box" tool. But if you need to master your data/BI - and you aren't an expert, or don't have time for extensive training, this tool may not be for you. It's robust - and while that's not inherently a bad thing, it may be more than you need depending on your experience or resources. Be prepared for a steeper learning curve if you want to be a real power-user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Plain and simple - it's a BI tool that captures data and creates visualizations for my key data sources. The benefits have been great. The dashboards allow my team (demand gen) to easily review key KPIs on an as-needed basis to determine what's happening and where pivots/optimizations need to be made.
Healthcare analysis using tableau
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease to connect tableau to any data source. I like the visuals i can produce using different functions in tableau. It is fast and user friendly. Also, there are a lot of communities for help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything about tableau but like nothing is perfect, i would say there should be more online resources related to healthcare analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently validating data in my organization related to reducing pre admission time. I am also involved in preparing dashboards for various business object reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend tableau to anybody interested in solving business problems.
Simple and intuitive program makes for great looking visualizations
What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop ability of Tableau is fantastic. So is the show me option where you select the inputs and Tableau suggests different visualizations. The ability to slice and dice the data in graphs and charts of different types really helps tell good stories and makes the data more approachable for business and customers. Dashboards are also a really great feature because it allows you to combine many different visualizations into one view. From this view you can make the charts and graphs interact with each other so if your user is interested in only one category, the user can click on the category or filter to that category and all the charts on the dashboard will update accordingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with formulas and especially dates in Tableau is not as easy or as intuitive as in Excel. This makes the transition from Excel to Tableau more difficult, but this could be attributable to having only worked in excel prior to the transition to Tableau whereas someone more experienced in SQL could make the transition in a more easy fashion. Formatting certain parts of the charts and graphs also proves to be difficult, for example, not all column headers can be changed as it is tied to the source data name. People that make the transition from excel to Tableau also need to be aware that creating a table is not easy in Tableau as it is a data visualization tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intuitive charts, self service type of visualizations and data, and informative graphics
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared for a learning curve, but afterwards, the visualizations are worth the initial push
Expedites Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
At the company I currently work at, we work with large amounts of tags for tracking different efforts across different teams. Due to the granularity, our own reporting tool takes a long time to load and export data. Our analytics team decided to integrate the data with tableau and it has made my analysis 10x faster. Data loads in seconds and I can filter, add metrics, adjust, and so forth with ease. I can also do a large portion of my analysis within the tool without having to export any data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may be due to my user restrictions, but there are simple things like creating a new project or workbook where I found it was not as intuitive. It took a bit of clicking through items before I figured out that I had to go into the list of data sources, find a specific data source, and click create workbook from there (vs. creating a workbook and then determining what data source after).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to wait 15+ mins in order to export data I need from my company's own reporting tool. With Tableau, I get that data within 2 seconds which saves me a ton of time and expedites my work flow significantly.

Tableau Review
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly drag and drop objects to create intricate charts. Tableau also allows to easily export content to share with other colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little complicated to import large datasets. Sometimes Tableau freezes when trying to utilize large quantities of data for analysis. Therefore, it's impractical to use Tableau for analyzing very large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fraudulent transaction analysis is what I did with Tableau. The benefits were that it was quickly able to visualize my results for analysis.
