Efficient and easy

Best visualzation and making dashboard has never been so easy

The program is user friendly and i can quickly explore data and try new views and graphs that will build value

Some features are quirky and not super straightforward, like adding new dimension fields, the formulas sometimes require a bit of googling

We can visualize all of our internal data and think about staffing needs
Quick Analytics, Desktop Bound
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can easily combine multiple data sources to create eye-catching visualizations. The flexibility that the software gives is well suited to the data I work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that this software is desktop computer bound. There are no cloud analytic options available. This limits my work in the amount of data I can work with and in the platforms I can use to edit my work. First, my work is highly mobile; I am often meeting partners in conference rooms or their own offices and I need to be able to edit my work on the fly. So the speed at which I can process data is limited by the power of my laptop. Secondly, I would like to be able to edit data using a cloud application. However, this functionality is not available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created several streamlined dashboards which help inform high-level decisions. The benefits are realized in our communication with stakeholders and accuracy of data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product for data Analysis. You might not need all the fancy pieces of the Tableau Server, a simple desktop app and Tableau Public might serve you well.

This is a great software for creating dashboards! It is so simple and easy to use.

Tableau is a great product. as such, I have no complaints to dislike.

I have been using Tableau to analyze and create dashboards with data from the industry.
Excellent Data Visualisation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to merge different data sources then filter, make calculated fields from that is unparalleled from any other visualisation tool. The simple drag and drop UI makes it a cakewalk to work on. I also am looking forward to addition of Hyper in 10.5 and future versions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes take quite a time to run if I have a couple of other softwares running on my machine which can be a bit annoying at times, also I'm also a bit indifferent towards Tableau licensing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboard Generation, I've realised that even a naive user can pick up quite easily on Tableau and if you put in the effort to learn you can go on and on.

I like how it’s able take massive amount data and pivot to make really useful charts, graphs and dashboards. It makes a lot a reporting aspect automated

The fact that it’s not really user friendly of essential financial statements such as income statement , cash flow statement and balance sheet

Keep track of sales activity for sales team and marketing team for use in future business planning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I used this software at a previous job and am trying to convince my current employer to also use it. Compared to other sales analytics products out there, Salesforce provides ease of use, great organization, and a very helpful support team. I recommend this to anyone wanting to monitor sales more effectively.
