One stop shop for Data
What do you like best about the product?
My company uses Tableau to calculate and & communicate metrics within a sales organization and I love how interactive dashboards can be. They can provide enough information that a new hire can pretty quickly navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say I dislike it, but the amount of data on the backend has had hiccups every so often which can cause stressful outages where we're not sure how accurate the data displayed is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking progress week over week/month over month
We have a plethora of dashboards tied back to various metrics. It's super beneficial that they all seem to pull from the same sources. Within this year we adjusted our use of Tableau to better reflect our fiscal calendar which was a game changer in allowing us to easily access data all based off of the same calendar.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth the license! Your analysts will be able to marry data sets much easier than with other comparable data analytics tools. It does not take much to clean up some of the negative points I've noted manually or within a presentation, only wish Tableau would give better formatting options, or allow integration with Office templates.
Real-time data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau I love since I can keep all my information in one place in an organized way and instantly, I can check the inventory of my company, as well as verify what kind of work was done to the fleet of vehicles that are in charge, to make the presentations to the employees I make simple Dashboards, which show a lot of information of interest to all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I do not like is that without internet connection tableau does not work and sometimes the application becomes slow, sometimes when I make a change and I want to save it gives me error which makes my changes are not saved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What I have solved with tableau is being able to organize my data in one place, and when I want to consult some information I can do it quickly and accurately, which helps me make important decisions in the company, Tableau provides each user with a profile in which you can save all your publications and edit them whenever you need or require it, I can place filters that makes it easier for me to search for information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is perfect for those companies that have a large number of databases and want to organize them immediately and accurately, in my case it is excellent to know statistical data sales and any other information that requires about vehicles, is a Business Intelligence platform that grows at enormous speed.

Tableau Desktop Professional - Review
What do you like best about the product?
I personally like a lot of features in Tableau which makes it an amazing tool to do Viz. I think one of the best things about tableau which gives it a competitive advantage is the option to connect to a wide variety of data sources and probably do any sort of data blending and manipulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like tableau for providing presorted examples and samples to create viz. I think they can probably provide more variety of samples. At the same time. I am aware that we can use our own logic based on calculation fields and option sets to create new visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently working on a variety of projects on the tableau. I have access to some of the LMS within my organization and I am responsible for providing knowledge gaps and report that to my stakeholders for effective enablement.
Powerful Software but Many Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Tableau is that when I upload a dataset, Tableau immediately recognizes the different data types and suggests visualizations for me to use right off of the bat.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that Tableau has so many limitations that daily, in my client meetings, the client asks for things that are not possible out-of-the-box with Tableau but that are easy to do in other softwares such as Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am building dashboards for my client so that they can track the success of a program they are rolling out nationwide. I have been able to use Tableau for calling out outliers, projecting future success, and tracking overall progress to goals that the client has set.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend using Tableau, but it has a steep learning curve, so it will take a long time to get used to. Although it has many limitations, it is still probably the best data visualization software on the market and the gold standard.
Tool for sharing and publishing data visualizations online
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is great for data visualization and has a great help community online; the server is ideal for sharing my work with the people who need to see it; easily allows you to connect a database and turn it into an understandable graph
What do you dislike about the product?
The server doesn't let you do much to organize your different visualizations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Tableau Server to publish and share my data visualizations publicly, instead of downloading and attaching a Tableau file
