Using Einstein anayltics for every day reporting

  • December 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I have access to nearly all my data, without having to create report after report is amazing. The visual clarity and simple point and click interface are a God send compared to the static reporting of other platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a fairly steep learning curve that comes with it. You definitely need to understand your data and which "bucket" they reside in. but once you learn it, you're flying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The result of being able to see all my Sales people's activity, closure rate, top performers, etc all in one place!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you know what you're doing with your data, and know how to analyze it correctly and segment into the correct market, then Einstein analytics will show you a whole new world of managing, tracking, and reporting on your data. The use case of being able to generate a beautiful report that interacts with a simple point and click to sift through tons of data is more than enough reason to make the switch. Instead of having to create multiple reports, you can have one analytics dashboard that can show all necessary information in a clean, simple to understand format.

Best software for visualisation

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau doesn’t move your data. Tableau resolves its queries on the database itself and only displays the graph or chart. The data stays securely in your existing database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customization of charts are difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to build the dashboard. If any changes needs to be made, it can be done quickly without having a longer wait time.

It's like Excel pivot tables on steroids!

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Tableau is so easy to use and is very intuitive. I have very basic programming knowledge but I'm still able to create very powerful Dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little that I dislike about Tableau. My only complaint is sometimes it's difficult to change out data sources and columns within Excel data sources
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau allows us to visualize all kinds of data in a very easy to understand and easy to interpret way. My company has found the most value in the Dashboards that Tableau helps create.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Download the free trial and start exploring all that Tableau has to offer! Awesome product! This software has been a game changer on how my company displays and shares data with each other.

What do you like best about the product?
Offers a very detailed look at our business metrics that we might not be able to mine from GA
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like there are too many features and too many quirks. Also has a adelay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merchandise performance and quality to help make merchandising decisions
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Requires a bit of support to learn the system and it's quirks

Tableau is the benchmark

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everything. I suppose if I had to pick then it would be the drag-n-drop. Sure, there are other tools out there that have the same feature, but the implementation is superb. The Tableau team really hit the mark for overall business impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I run up against the limits of available memory, so it would be nice if there was an easy way to boost the compute abilities. Unfortunately that is more of a hardware issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Departmental metrics are so easy to create and publish. We use it for much more than that, of course. I have used it to publish visuals of telematics fault data by GPS clustered locations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it, play with it. Engage with the community. It is a powerful tool in the right hands.

How Tableau can help you win business

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau offered an incredible platform to input various key data points that are relevant to your business. Many platforms offer data input. Tableau is unique in its capabilities to take that big data and deliver a visual image of what that data could mean to your business. A picture is worth a thousand words! Not only are the visuals impressive, it will often help you build a case that you may have needed days to create in another format, for example, PowerPoint. This is a one stop shop!
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau was introduced to me through our business analytics team. It can be a bit intimidating to learn how to use and leverage. I would suggest an easy "turn on tableau" for a quick start. This will allow users to get comfortable and not be afraid of the bigger platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trends in the business for starters was a big focus for us. Looking at sales, profit margin growth/declines are critical. Tableau can slice and dice many ways. I leveraged to get another against the competition as well. Very valuable on many levels and dynamic during a presentation. Love the data being live and can .answer challenges quickly with a quick key punch or stroke. This is key
Recommendations to others considering the product:
100%

Tableau is a great visualization tool but hard to learn

  • December 11, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a fun and useful tool to make presentations and visualizations of data that you cannot do with Microsoft Excel. It is especially good when you have to do reporting that is completed on an ongoing basis. There are many options to work with the data and the ability to work with geographic, SQL, sales, etc types of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is extremely hard to master and very often you have to learn by trial and error. Some functions are not intuitive at all and it is very slow to work on Tableau. Also, you generally have to format the data perfectly first on MS Excel or SQL to ensure that Tableau can work most efficiently. It is a data visualization tool, not a tool to parse through data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me to view trends and solve business questions that would otherwise take me longer to complete, visualization, and think about.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use it if you are doing reporting. It is hard to learn but can be worth it. If it is easier analysis or one-off analysis, definitely stick to MS Excel.

Intuitive, powerful analytics

  • December 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of immediate use by a beginner, and the depth of analysis it gives an expert.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like the expense required to share with others in the cloud. Tableau online needs a free way to share online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have figured solved our reporting problem for our courses and our clients. Internally, we are able to analyze our products and figure out which ones are most profitable. Non technical employees are able to ask dsta questions.

Best visual data analytics - changing the market!

  • December 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy interface; so many applications; import multiple data types; visually beautiful; great support teams; meaningful data 'stories'
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve to maximize capabilities; the data needs to be clean before it is loaded - no data cleansing built in
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
data analytics, dashboards, auditing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The value is there. There is a significant learning cure to leverage the power and capabilities of the tool, but there is a support team, great demos and tutorials, and even local user groups. Wonderful use of data and visualizations.
