Costpoint Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
The BI capabilities are great.
Tech support and product quality have improved markedly in the last 6 years!

What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is still sometimes unintuitive. We will see how 8.2 improves that.
Certain processes sometimes require more steps than needed for a small company.

We are working on improving the project setup process and making it more consistent. We are also improving our timesheet timeliness and supporting notes.
We just went live 2 months ago.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to get anywhere I need to go from one spot & I use the search function frequently. I also like the quick load times when navigating.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like issuing inventory into a manufacturing order. Going line by line & selecting serial/lots on a large bom takes my team a long time.

Still figuring that out since we are brand new to it.
Robust cost accounting, good integration

BI reporting is top notch, cost accounting is endlessly customizable, which makes for excellent reporting.

'Progress Payment Bills' is inadequate and does not comply to FAR

The rigid structures required by government contracting.

The separation between Costpoint and T&E.

Flexibility of interface, customization.

Sometimes support is slow or responds during pff hours.

Accounting. Billing. Prohect management.

What do you like best about the product?
Configure it right and it will consistently and accurately do what it is supposed to do. Results are trustworthy and auditable for government contractors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Error messages are not always helpful. High level of training is needed for users.

Provides a high level of confidence that government audits will be passed. Data is integrated and can be trusted.

It takes more than 5 sometimes 6 emails to get through to solution discussion

Difficult to learn, but does everything.

It does everything ERP in one place. Deltek is improving user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface/experience. Modernization available in 8.2 is better already and Deltek is focused on more improvements in this area producing cause for Hope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily user interface. As an admin, my chief problem is complaints from users because they don't truly understand how the system work, what the messages are trying to tell them and what they need to do about it.
