What do you like best about the product?
Harmony UI, DELA, Interactive EMails and the Teams integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation still lags behind the application feature releases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have seen greater control of contracts and projects with the Contract Management module, tighter ODC, and travel costs with Mobile Expense and more accurate labor with Mobile Time.

What do you like best about the product?
Unsure at this time , to time consuming.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that journal entries are not displayed when reconciling the bank accounts. That should be standard in any accounting software. Some updates are needed, like for employees, a flag to view active, another flag for inactive, and a flag to view all. Contracting has a large number of people coming and going. The list is to long. I would want the same option for projects and customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None at this time.

What do you like best about the product?
Deltek is extremely user-friendly when it comes to cost and time management amongst employees. I use it to enter my timesheets every week and it really is quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software looks a little outdated when you first start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every employee can submit their timesheets at their own descretion. The payroll coordinator will then have all the information needed in one software.

What do you like best about the product?
Nothing. Onboarding people to costpoint means we always have a bad first impression with new hires because every single aspect works so poorly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Favorites don't work, adding lines and not being able to truly delete them, it takes over an hour to do my sheet each week, menus and buttons do not have appropriate/accessible/usable labels, help documentation is useless, you can REARRANGE THE DAYS OF THE WEEK???, the column resizing doesn't work, using a framed window-in-window was bad design in 1990, rollout was god awful, across our company are going to miss annual review goals because they are so avoidant of this terrible software. And as a manager, approving time and finding direct report sheets frequently does not work without trying 2 or 3 different methods. I could write a thesis-length document on all the ways Costpoint goes directly against all current UX best practices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are forced to use it to record time. It does not solve problems. It causes them. Even this survey goes against best practices - this field shouldn't be used to answer two opposite questions and the checklists don't have explanations of options or repeat options (do I select "ICF Next" or "ICF Next"?). My industry isn't listed below and there's no "other" option. Every interaction with Costpoint seems to reiterate that Deltek just wants to pocket ICF's money and doesn't give a single damn about making a good tool.

Deltek ERP systems that can do it all for you

What do you like best about the product?
Being a government contractor and being compliant with all the regulations required for being a government contractor, it is critical to have a system that can handle and provide accurate, reliable, quick data to report to the government. Costpoint allows indirect rates to be built in the system that fit the need of the company. Every company is different so having flexibility is critical to be successful. The system brings in planning, contracts, billing, receivables, payables, timesheets, expense reports, and everything required to be successful in accounting. Built into Costpoint also is a report writer that allows you to build reports on any data that is in the system. This allows you to easily custom reports for customers or build analytic dashboards for your executive team. In addition, Deltek University provides training tools to ensure all your staff can be properly trained and up to date on everything they do in the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downfall of Costpoint is planning. It is still a little buggy but if that is the worst thing of the whole system that is not bad. The rest of the system is great. Another area that Deltek needs to integrate into Costpoint is Cobra the project management system (EVMS). I believe this is in the horizon in the next 2 years but the fact this is a stand alone system and not integrated is painful when you get a new project and have to set-up instead of having it feed from Costpoint to that module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I am solving with Deltek is Indirect Rate models and ensuring rates are built properly to ensure Incurred Cost submissions can be prepared and turned into DCAA timely. This is a huge problem to solve if you are in excel and need to get out of excel. I have a system that now ensures the model from DCAA has everything properly recorded based on my accounting system.

What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint has the ability to handle large amounts of data and it neatly organizes those data in the form of meaningful reports. It also has the ability to personalize reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is unintuitive and outdated, customer support is non-existent, and there are many unnecessary steps to accomplish anything. System is not user friendly and there are so many other frustrating little things about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expense report redundancy: There are times when doing expense reports that the same information needs to be entered more than once/over and over again.

What do you like best about the product?
No matter what project setup, revenue, or customer reporting requirements a company has this system has the capabilities of meeting any scenario. With its business intelligence platform we spend no time in Excel as our reporting automates most of our manual work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a learning curve with the application but you’ll find that with any advanced accounting/ERP platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have efficiency and automated reporting available in seconds to answer any question. Built in rules prevent us from time card or billing errors, reducing invoicing issues and reducing time to collect cash.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider all costs when choosing an ERP system, with other systems you may save on licensing but it will cost you more in labor and rework.

Great time keeping software

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to apply time. Input charge codes and monitor accrued pto.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not allow you to keep timesheet in a full screen setup to see entire work week.

Quickly inputting time and approving time sheets of other staff.

As an end user Deltek is the worst application I have ever encountered

What do you like best about the product?
As an end user I can't speak to how Deltek functions for the company as a whole, but it is almost unusable for time and expense keeping. There is NOTHING intuitive about the interface at all. It's almost as if they tried to make it as opaque and useless as they could, and then figured out how to make it worse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost impossible to use as an end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All I need to do in Deltek Costpoint is do my own time and expense and review/approve those for my direct reports. There is almost no part of any of those functions that is easy or intuitive. Instructions are unclear. Process is extremely convoluted. Buttons/links are all over the place and don't really help you figure out what to do next. Many, many, many steps to do really simple things. Inadequate confirmation pop up boxes. Jargon-y, confusing nomenclature. There is not one user in our company who is even neutral about having to use Deltek for time and expense keeping--and there certainly isn't anyone who is positive about it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stay as far away from Deltek as you can.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about deltek costpoint is the contractor billing.
What do you dislike about the product?
This product is the most not user friendly and really requires to have an expert staff memeber just to utilize and activate accounts correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving problem with customer Billings
