Excellent User interface and not cluttered
What do you like best about the product?
The greatest advantage of using Instana APM is its ease of use. It eliminates the need to search through different components, such as Kubernetes namespaces, pods, or services, as everything is clearly and intuitively organized. This makes it easier for developers to quickly identify and address issues without having to spend countless hours trying to determine the root cause of a problem
What do you dislike about the product?
I have shared my feedback in several forums where the instana is lacking. They need to consider holding the logs for the events where the issues were identified. When an incident get's triggered by the instana agent, after certain duration like 7 or 10 days, the logs are getting archived. Now if the developer wants to check on the issue what happened, he would required to rely on log monitoring tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The serving our needs of Application peformance monitoring.
They are helpful in quickly jump into the part where the issue happened. The components were arranged in a better way where you can drill down to the core level without any hassle.

I can see a lot of things about my applications, like memory consumption, errors, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data is not consistent, sometimes looks like there is a big delay or the data is not right
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a OK tool to monitoring your application, .NET application at least, and your infrastructure
Instana seems to work well out of the box (on day 1) but quickly becomes complicated

Baseline metrics/measurements "just work" so it's pretty easy to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Diving into details is troublesome as Instana lacks some other visibility into system behaviors. Stitching together user journeys has not been easy.

It's great at creating an initial view of a technology stack

Instana has some great features like installing a sensor instance that can grab all the metrics from all AWS resources within an account. A customizable dashboard is a fantastic feature. It is free for the licensing part.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard designing is complicated Versus other tools like Grafana or Data dog. It is not straightforward.It is complex. There is not a lot of information available about designing dashboards and other functionalities in the form of videos to make user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Still trying to make it more userfriendly. There is some room to make simple and easy configure the dashboards and alerting mechanism. May be in future will be in a competitive position to other tools like Data Dog

The autotracing is useful. And the application view is a great feature.

Instana was created for actual hosts. It still needs to evolve to catch up in lambda tracing

Instana keeps an eye on employee productivity, available resources, and other areas that require a thorough review. I adore how Instana incorporates keyword optimization and website analytics to increase accuracy and decision-making. The fact that it has a sizable space for businesses with important and complex data fascinates me. Since Instana values every business process, it supports all operations and makes sure that reports are produced on schedule. I appreciate that each piece of content on Instana is thoroughly scanned for security, and unauthorised users are immediately barred from access. I appreciate that it offers a thorough analysis and pinpoints the source of the issue. I appreciate that it offers system and service transformational monitoring

Since Instana has succeeded in removing all obstacles that hinder performance monitoring, there is really nothing to dislike about this tool. She has also worked on security policies and effective communication techniques. It also has a trustworthy team that validates each query and makes sure that updates are implemented promptly. The tool is very effective overall, but it would be great if there was a way to find an exact value and save it as a metric.
