What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Altium365 is the Naming scheme for Parts and footprints, using a special naming instead of the Component MPN is a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating Both Mechanical and Electrical Sides in one Project is extremely helpful, it saved My team a huge amount of work and time.
Excellent Beginner Experience
What do you like best about the product?
It offers a wide range of tools for PCB design, simulation, and verification in a single platform. Also, it has an user-friendly interface with customizable workspaces that streamline the design process. Personally I like that it has an excellent integration with mechanical CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks, for ECAD-MCAD collaboration. Lastly, it is used in a wide variety of industries, which gives its users a high value in multiple industry domains.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a specialized software, Altium Designer can be complex and feature-rich, which may overwhelm beginners. Additionally, more complex designs require significant system resources, potentially leading to performance issues on less powerful machines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium Designer's integration with Molded Interconnect Devices (MID) technology enables me to create 3D circuit carriers that combine mechanical and electronic functions in a single component. Although integrating mechanical design and PCB can sometimes be time-consuming, this feature helps reduce both the time and complexity of production.
MID integration also breaks the constraints of traditional 2D PCB design, allowing greater flexibility in component placement and routing, even though it is still a niche technology.
Regarding the PCB design process, the schematic capture with hierarchical design capabilities helps me organize and manage complex or modular designs much more effectively. Without these capabilities, such designs would otherwise be a headache to work with.
When working on complex projects, it can be easy to overlook design rules necessary for correct PCB manufacturing. The automation of this process with Design Rule Checking (DRC) ensures that the PCB complies with manufacturing standards, avoiding costly mistakes in the production stage.

I really like altium designer as a PCB design software.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create a schematic and then import it into a PCB Design so I can route it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides of altium designer is that it can be hard to make a footprint if your component does not already have a footprint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the fact that I need to design a PCB for a task and it is benefiting me by being a good easy to use software.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how nice the interface looks, it is not cluttered and easy to follow. Lots of helpful tools to use and also the documentation is easily available for all versions of altium.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the manufacturer part search can be slighlty buggy when linked with the active bom. Some parts say they are available on the digi-key site but not when implemented in the Active BOM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is helping us create our board designs with ease and also allows us to use built in tools to help make veryfying the design a lot easier.
Although the learning curve is fairly steep, Altium is a great software tool for PCB layouts.
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface and tools are straightforward and 3D visualization of the board is decent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve and wish it had more manufacturing guidance, for example, design rules checking for ceramic vs. flex vs. FR4. This would save a lot of back and forth sharing of gerbers with manufacturers to get the board to something that can be manufactured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast PCB design and gerber generation for manufacturing.
Very intuitive workflow and comprehensive layout tools
What do you like best about the product?
The conversion from a schematic to a skeleton layout is very useful and allows me to come out with a layout before routing the PCB. I also value the use of simulation and BOM tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I prefer the original rules manager instead of the new constraint manager as I found the categories to be laid out more intuitively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are designing our own PCBs which require high power, high efficiency buck converter circuits and several PWM and power outputs at different voltages, which is a circuit not readily available online. Altium allows us to construct a single PCB which has all these functions and allows us to compare costs compared to sourcing these individual components commercially. We have saved money by integrating all functions into a single board.
Great product. I use it daily and am very happy with it.

Altium has many features which make it very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of ai design support. I really wish Altium would implement layout optimizers, ability to place components with code etc.

We do chip evaluations and we use altium for fast design and really reliable solution to our needs.

Things Which I like About Altium 365 are Component Management, Amazing UI, Real Time Collaboration / Cloud Based Collabortion.
Altium 365 is very powerful and must have tool for PCB Design Engineer. It makes PCB Design Fun . Making Multilayer PCB starting from Schematic Capture, Making your own Components, Creating layout, Performing Design Checks, Placement and Routing whole process is fun and amazing with Altium 365.

I have Masters in Electrical Engineering. I am passionate about Design. As a self learner I have Designed Various multilayer PCB using Altium 365. Its complex yet amazing process and with Altium 365 learning is Fun.
