Excellent professional PCB design tool, if you can get access to it
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get started, many guides and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be overwhelming considering the amount of functions. Although it it an expensive tool to have (luckily we have a University-wide license).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Altium mainly for prototyping.
Currently the best tool for Circuit design and PCB Layout design for professional and students.
What do you like best about the product?
Provides smooth transition from other tools to altium. Lot of training tutorials available for students and professional.
This sofware provides a very vast component library from different manufacturer, which is curated very well by Altium.

there is no option where the design can automaticaly save to server , when ever a change is made
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is an allrounder for schematic design, PCB layout

platform with all tools integrated to fast PCB design and verification.
What do you dislike about the product?
there are some suggestions that I send to open ticket but nobody reply to me. Suggestion could be usefull to the PCB designer. It is important to take into account the suggestion of end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
there aren't problem solved. Instead there are a lot of PCBs made and designed without mistakes

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ''History'' feature of Altium the most, where you can go and view past versions of your project, as well as the server feature, which allows you to have all your work organition's project and library in one place, which eliminates the need for Github.
What do you dislike about the product?
The occasional but rare crashes, the ruler (CTRL + M) that sometimes doesn't snap correctly in the center of a footprint or at any useful part of the circuit and how long it can be to import a footprint/symbol.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is helping us create printed circuit boards at a professional level and easily import the 3D files of the boards in a mechanical assembly.

What do you like best about the product?
Altium 365 excels in facilitating collaboration among team members, regardless of their location. Its cloud-based platform allows for real-time sharing, reviewing, and commenting on PCB designs, which significantly enhances productivity and reduces miscommunication. The integration with other design tools and the ability to manage components effectively are also standout features that streamline the entire design process.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Altium 365 is its occasional lag and slow response times, especially when working with larger and more complex projects. Additionally, the initial learning curve can be steep for new users who are not familiar with cloud-based design tools, requiring a significant amount of time and effort to become fully proficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium 365 has significantly improved our design team's ability to collaborate on complex PCB projects. Previously, coordinating design changes and ensuring everyone had the latest updates was a cumbersome and error-prone process. For instance, on a recent project involving a multi-layer PCB for a new consumer electronics device, team members from different locations were able to simultaneously review and edit the design in real time. This not only reduced the risk of version control issues but also sped up the design process by 30%, allowing us to meet tight deadlines and bring the product to market faster. The integrated component management system also ensured we used verified components, reducing the risk of production delays due to sourcing issues.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Altium Designer is how powerful it is when it comes to working with advanced designs while still being user friendly. The UI also looks very modern and is something you can proudly show of to your customer without them questioning if you are using a software from the early 2000s. It is also good how often it recieves updates which gives confidence that alot of effort is being put in to keep improving it.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside is that to have the absolute best expeiance you should run it on a high-end modern computer. The difference in using a 4 year old computer against a new one is very noticeable and will affect how smooth you will experiance the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really have improved and speed up collaboration between hardware design and mechanical design. Generating perfect 3D models of the PCB makes the mechanical design a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
The Libraries linked to live status at vendors - Altium 365
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to take someone else's design and change the output folders to suit your own folder setup. Knowing where local libraries are stored and pointed to isnt clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Library management is the best feature for me because I am transferring from a CAD system that does not have a Library system that can integrate with a BoM output, live.
Altium is a powerful PCB software that is always updated with new features
What do you like best about the product?
Altium designer developers always focus on updating Altium with new features that save time and effort for developer and provide better performance and to provide better design review experience. also the ease of design reuse and modifications to save redesign effort and time. also the integration with CAD tools is perfect as it provides a good integration with mechanical design team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Merging Designs from some software tools is not supported yet. but they're working on it according to Altium Webinars Instructors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves issues like gap between designers and procurement using the active BOM feature and BOM Portal. Also saves time and effort specially for newer versions like AD23 and AD24

What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designer is a very capable tool for designing PCBs. It's user interface is both highly detailed yet straight forward and usable after spending time exploring the different features Altium Designer provides. Because of the number of design features Altium Designer has, it is very easy to implement unique and highly specific design features. In addition, Altium 365 makes it very easy for other members of my team to review my work in large detail and to integrate my own work with my team's overall project architecture in the Altium 365 file organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium Designer has a relatively steep learning curve for people new to PCB design and electrical circuit concepts, but the Altium Designer tutorial and free Altium Education PCB Basic Design Course make it much easier to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium Designer allows me to design complex PCBs with unique design constraints.

Real - time collaboration, shortcuts for editing and very good performance without lag.
What do you dislike about the product?
Folder managment and maybe outdated GUI.
