As an electrical and computer engineer I found Altium a great designing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designer is a gerat design tool with many peculiar features. I like the manufacturer part search and Altium 360 fetures.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it hard to find online resources and tutorial videos, to learn by myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to make industry standard designs and to be competetive in the market.
Professional application for PCB design
What do you like best about the product?
Various features for all sorts of applications
What do you dislike about the product?
- UI and UX, as a first time user it was a bit harder to navigate (but that can be changed with time)
- A better solution probably exists but SVG file outputs would be nice (easier to use for stencils compared to DXF/DWG, which aren't as easy to integrate to my laser cutter setup due to misc unit conversion issues I don't have the time to solve)

Aids my PCB Design project workflow
Intern's review!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get your hands on, also the online '' wiki '' on their website or the manual is easy to follow and to understand. Moreover the libraries and manufacturers parts are easy to integrate and are very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough tutorials on more advanced disigns online. Their YouTube channel is complete with courses however for me there should be a wider range of online tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am making a pcb suitable for a high frequency magnetic field generator. It saves me a lot of money to me a'd my company to make it on a pcb instead of buying very expensive equipment.
Powerful and straight forward
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how powerful Altium is, plus when I need to learn something new I can watch a video tutorial and get started in a few minutes on my own.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight barrier to entry getting to know the software, but this goes for any software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me develop replacement PCBs for my work that are expensive or hard to find
Valispace in System Engineering
What do you like best about the product?
Valispace is great at being able to view requirements in different contexts. The requirements module can be used to break the requirements down functionally, but the components view allows you to view how the requirements are allocated to each component.
What do you dislike about the product?
The test module has a lot of promise but is a bit buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Valispace allows us to view and organize our requirements very well. We also use it to decompose the system into subsystems
One Stop solution for everything
What do you like best about the product?
I like how each aspect of the design process links up to stream line moving from schematic to PCB to Fabrication outputs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a long time to open the program. This may be a particular issue on older PCs like we use at our company, and once the program opens it does run very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing 3D models is improving our design process hugely, making changes is extremely easy now and much more streamlined.
Linking Sch>PCB>Fab files makes it easier to make changes
Being able to find footprints and build a library makes designing easier

design capturing phase of electric inverter system in automotive application
What do you like best about the product?
Valispace is very easy to use. Even the "admin" space is not that much of complexity. In the past, I used other requirement capturing tool which was way more complex.
The flexibility of Valispace is also a plus. I can have any field I require and can easily implent with "few" clicks.
I am working with hardware, and having an abstraction view using the components module makes the process of requirements capturing less painful.
Imports and exports to Excel-based documents is quite easy and straight forward.
Technical support is awsome.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am missing a straight forward way to use templates.
I am missing a simple way to have a FMEA implemented in the system.
Some modifications in my data requires a refresh of the broser after performing them. This is anoying and unrelyable.
I am missing a integration with FMEA/FuSa tools.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Valispace is integrating tools, location, files related with requirements in a single platform.
Game-changing in managing project requirements
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Valispace is that it serves as a collaborative platform where you can calculate and store your project engineering data, manage requirements, perform simulations, documentations, and also store testing procedures and test runs, all in one system engineering tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
What is currently less useful is the Time Sequences module, which has limited utility in the design phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Valispace primarily addresses the challenging issue of internally reviewing requirements within the company and especially with the client. Without Valispace, this process would be much longer and more difficult, risking the loss of information on requirement traceability and history (change log). Valispace streamlines this review, aids in the verification process, and connects it to the design values of your product.
Promising engineering tool to manage complex hardware projects
What do you like best about the product?
The tool serves well for requirements management, providing traceability between requirements and between requirements and design using automated 'rules'.
Serves well as a single source of truth for design and its properties. The core functionalities are easy to use and understand and the customer support has been very responsive and helpful.
There are a lot of features and availability of API makes it flexible to integrate with existing processes.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UI/UX is not always easy/fun to use and the most of the pages do not display well on mobile.
It can at times be difficult to align the usage of the tool with more formal processes (e.g. ECSS) and things like gated reviews and 'freezing' certain aspects of design.
It is less well suited for situations where a batch/series production is used (i.e. better suited for the design phase and manufacturing, integration, testing of one-off products).
Product is still in very active development (positive) but that also means that there are still some things to iron out and things may change in the future, potentially requiring adapting your workflow.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the entire engineering lifecyle of complex products.
powerful software, pretty expensive, wish it were less buggy
What do you like best about the product?
It's the most user friendly professional CAD software I've used
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of bugs and weird idiosyncracies that can screw up your work or slow you down
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PCBA design
