A daily driver for all of my PCB projects, Altium checks all of the boxes.
What do you like best about the product?
Altium is one of the most popular Printed Circuit Board design tools on the market and for good reason. In my daily use, it offers the advanced features I need for complex boards, powerful collaboration tools with my MCAD colleagues, and vendor integration that speeds up my design process. As the admin of our account I'm also happy with the user management, cloud management, and deployment processes, as well as the customer service we've received.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a handful of bugs that need to be squashed and nuances in the UI that take some getting used to. After the learning curve, however, I think it's a great tool to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is our primary PCB design tool.
Great for just about any level of design
What do you like best about the product?
The tight integration between the schematic and layout spaces makes importing changes between the two easy and intuitive. Almost all aspects of the design can be specified relatively easily. Design rules can be as simple or as complex as required using almost any element/feature of the components and primitives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design reuse is a relatively newer feature that has evolved from design snippets that allows us to more easily reuse portions of both a schematic and layout in a new design. This feature is improving but still has a ways to go to be a major time saving feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is the platform that we use to bring our electronic designs to life in a faster and more organized fashion.
Intuitive and easy to learn CAD tool
What do you like best about the product?
its easy to work on both schematic and layout at the same time. Layout design is intuitive and easy to learn, commands are straightforward and all activity can be one on one window. UI is easy to understand and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
technical support is subpar, there is no personal interaction with technical support team, all questions are directed to their website to summit tickets and wait for answer which can take long.
they also ask to look in to their web log for solutions from other users, so one have to spend time looking for answers instead of getting a quick solution from an expert. Siim Im paying for subscriptin (which is not cheap) I would expect better technical support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
even Altium is not our companys official CAD tool, we use it for quick prototyping and to generate 3D rendering of PCBs with components to share with ME team and confirm enclosure fitting. Its easy and straight forwared, no complex process to generate new parts, forwared anotation or gerber generation.
Best tool in the industry
What do you like best about the product?
The User interface is the best of all the eCAD tools. The 365 integration is essential for any business for managing libraries and processes
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, however there needs to be continued effort in the 365 integration (ease of templates) and improved 365 support for new tools like harnessing. For an aerospace company, reducing the overhead and automating what can be standardized and controlled is essential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For teams, it is the best eCAD tool that allows engineers to manage their own CAD infrastructure.
Self-employed contractor
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share designs and production files in a simple web interface makes collaborating with clients who don't know electronics design or don't have a license so much better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software update cadence is excessive and while new features and bug fixes are great, the amount that we deal with lack of backwards campatibilty is really frustrating. If not all team members are updating their release at the same cadence, we run into problems. Even hardware when we share files with customers who have a completely different update schedule.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to design complex PBCAs with the ability to automate many portions of the design while maintaining the ability to create very intricate design elements with a high level of design control.
All in one solution for PCB board design and implementation
What do you like best about the product?
All-in-one solution for PCB board design and implementation with easy-to-use features and integration with other softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve is a little steep if you are a new designer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to create complex schematics and PCBs for prototype and production uses.
Highly Capable and Scalable
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of subscription based pricing and features was great for our small business - allowing premium functionality, sharing, revision control - all while maintaining the options for seamless growth. For those already familiar with Altium - the ease of use and features is premium. There is a learning curve (as with any software of this complexity/ number of features) and planning for appropriate training of users is a must.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is premium compared to many other options. I can't speak to the functionality and other factors of thoes other options - we chose to stay with what was working for us rather than risk decreased productivity or possibly non-functionality of switching to a different software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium has enabled rapid revisions, prototyping, and production at a pace we only dreamed of prior to incorporating Altium into our workforce- easily 1/10th the time to iterate PCBA revisions.
Altium is cool, though I still dream of KiCAD
What do you like best about the product?
Is Altium 365 different from Altium designer?
AD just works, especially the robustness of the version control system is nice.
The rules system is very strong and with a bit of fiddling I can express anything I want.

What do you dislike about the product?
However, it is heavy and not as flexible as I would like. When a usecase not forseen by your software developers arises there is often no way to handle it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Changing main Schematic and Layout Tools to Altium
What do you like best about the product?
Altium designer allows schematic capture and layout tools to be combined into a single solution. Data flow from schematics to Bill of Materials to 3D data is easier than ever.
What do you dislike about the product?
No tool is ever perfect and quite a bit of data must still be entered in for differential signals and impedance calculations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster time from design to final PCB design
A365 is great
What do you like best about the product?
Aside from being a convenient and effective way of communicating and sharing aspects of designs within my company, i use it all the time as a quick reference for my PCBs/schematics, instead of loading the Altium application and project fully. It's really convenient with a fast internet connection to pop on and take a look at something.
We use it as the file master for our projects so everyoens projects are up to date with the latest pushes. We've had 0 problems with colleagues being off track with shared projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
On the altium desktop application I can highlight a hole net of traces, or shift click and highlight multiple unlike nets/elements/components. If I need to do that I use the application instead of the 365 website
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping the whole team updated and communicating
