It's time PCB databases were accessible by remote services.
What do you like best about the product?
Altium 365 allows you to keep a record of commits to Git, similar to what software developers have been doing for 20 years. It also makes it easy to share a link with other people to view your designs on the web. There's no more having to download a free viewer. The web interface is remarkably fast at pulling up schematics, layers of the layout, a 3D view, and design outputs. You can view most everything you would commonly view from within the tool, all in a web browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to is breaking old habits, such as compying the entire database directory and renaming it in order to start a new rev. Altium 365 handles the releases, but there's a learning curve for those of us who've been doing it the old way for decades.
I can check out a design, and it saves it on my local drive. Then I can make changes and commit them. I sometimes get confused about which database directory is tired to which design in Altium 365.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to share my designs with non-EEs. Once they have the link, they can pull up all design details in their browser.
I also like that I can make daily commits to Git, which are visible in an easy to read time-line on the web. The project manager can see my commits and notes about what I changes, so they don't have to call me and ask how the layout is coming.

its very easy to learn altium, how the functions and rules work, also i love using the cloud function to do design from any computer

sometimes it crashes for no apparent reason, libraries are not saved, maybe i just dont know how to use it

helps me show my colleagues my designs on any computer, also easy to learn how to use the program from many tutorials online

Awesome Shared Design Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly graphical interface, accessible anywhere from the web even on a smart phone.

It is somewhat slow to load from the web.

Reviewing designs with peers from anywhere at any time even by smart phone.
Altium is the industry standard
What do you like best about the product?
Altium design information can be viewed and commented upon without having to install the full tool suite. This is perfect for design review or for non-engineers who need to access the data. All that is needed is a login and an internet browser. Also the ECAD to MCAD data transfer is excellent. This is a must have feature for anyone who needs to design custom packaging for their electronics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium 365 doesn't always fit my organizations prefferred workflow. It is not infinitely customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have the PRO license which allows extraction of individual layers into MCAD. This greatly speeds up our MCAD integration because we design our conductive enclosures to touch off on non-soldermasked portions of the PCB.
Well thought out cloud experience for PCBA design
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about altium 365 is the ease of organizing data. The library and and project repositories are intuitive and the cloud handles all the file management on the back end. The Version control makes backups easy. In addition some of the template features like project templates vastly improves work flow. I have created an EE design process at my company and I heavily leveraged the feature set of 365 to make that happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside to A365 in my opinion is some of the loss of local features. For example part choices are only driven from the cloud and not stored locally in the project. This makes projects less portable and more reliant on the internet. Extracting library data local library data into the cloud and vise versa can also be a bit challanging. Overall I would like to see a bit more integration between 365 and non-365 use cases (in both directions)

A365 gives us a solid base in which to build HW design process as well as help us colaborate with remote employees and other design partners.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a drawback, but rather a reflection to its depth and versatility. While learning curve some challenges presented, but it enriched my understanding by the end.

What do you like best about the product?
Very feature rich. Version control (git like) is great

Learning curve is a bit steep. Gerber editing and viewing tools could be better

Colabaration between team members. We can all see and access projects. Templates and library make for more cosistant project documentation

Leaving comments in schematics and pcb design files is a great tool.

Learning curve for new users. Price can be expensive for small business, freelancers.
