A very versatile EDA tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple and intuitive interface for parts placement and PCB layout. Very comprehensive Schematic verification/simulation tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model. Would prefer simpler licensing procedures
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Routine circuit and PCB design for our battery product and testing support
Easy to use even for a beginner
What do you like best about the product?
Good support & useful online guide updated after each version.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some intuitive features are lacking or not easy to figure out, for ex. moving around parallel wires that are connected on both side to component in SCH whitout having them collide and merge together. The auto-routing of tracks in layouts can also be very inefficient. Having the possibility to enlarge pictures of parts in the manufacturer part search panel would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is my only tool to design PCB.
Easiest PCB design package I have used
What do you like best about the product?
Straightfoward design flow is easy to pick up. You can learn the details as you go along.
What do you dislike about the product?
In program help is poor, but there is plenty of online help out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and easy way to design PCBs.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times it becomes really complex for a new comer. Extensive tutorial for begineers and intermdiataries and experts and professional ... should really help give a boost start or help cope with latest tech and trends in the domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned the integration that it has with suppliers like Digikey et. al makes it really easy to get things done in the Altium nowadays. Similar such features would help.

Altium 365 is my Favorite so far.
What do you like best about the product?
Continuity between parts, projects, layout, and schematic capture. Seemless integration, Selection of new parts is made simple. Extremely satisfied.

What do you dislike about the product?
A little uneasy with everything being on the cloud, however, logic tells me its safer than our internal servers.
Not always intuitive enough. Getting a little too complicated as features are added.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing projects. Storing past projects, etc.
Easy to store one location. Easy to find old projects.
I am more productive, and performance has increased.

Seamless Cloud Storage
What do you like best about the product?
I used to use version control using github for my altium projects. It worked but not very well, and making any changes required manual pushes and viewing any actual changes to schematics or the pcb required opening the altium app. With 365 I like the ability to view everything in browser and see the 3D views. I also like the seamless integration into the altium app itself, allowing changes to be pushed just by pressing one button. Finally, I like the ability to share design files with teammates without them having to install altium, especially useful for those who have macbooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have many complaints except that some of the features seem overwhelming to learn. For example, opening the component tab overwhelms me and I just chose to avoid using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium 365 allows me to have seamless cloud storage and backups without having to manually think about backing up files everytime I make some changes. The ability to share design files with team members who have macs (cannot run altium) or those who do not want to install an entire app is very useful. We also occasionally use altium 365 to share design files with suppliers.
Never going back to Cadence
What do you like best about the product?
With MCAD Co-designer, working with my mechanical engineering coleagues has never been easier.
When designing schematics, Altium 365 compoenent library with its 1+ million components is making the design process flow smoothly and helping me stay focused on what matters most, instead of having to stop everythgin and create the component myself.

What do you dislike about the product?
The show/hide annimations of the side menus are slow and distracting. I wish there was an option to turn them off, so the appearance of the side menu is snappy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing and collaborating has never been easier. I can outsource certain parts of the projects, like layour for example, and it doesn't feel like I am working with an outside company:
- I can track progress without asking or exchaning project files over email.
- I can identify issues or request changes to the layout early.
- I don't need to be the middle man between our mechanical team and the layout engineer.
