very good software for pcb desing
What do you like best about the product?
great optimization for 3d objets and it merges well 2d footprints into 3d views.
What do you dislike about the product?
when the updates come out the interface changes a lot which dificutls to readap to the software

It helps me to safe time in stufe like BOM lists and making 3d models taht assure me of the specifications before creating the project irl
Strong tool, but not customizable enough.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the curved trace making system. It takes some getting used to, but it's very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue for me, by far, is the lack of sub-file-level merging. It makes working with others on PCB layout difficult because two people can't work on different aeeas of the same file at the same time.
Another complaint I have is that the default default settings are awful at times. For instance, the default is for polygons to default to not connecting to same-net objects, and if you don't realize this is a setting it results in a lot of wasted time trying to figure it out.
A smaller complaint I have is that there is no dark mode for the schematic applet.

Altium makes it very easy to create curved traces and polygons.
I am now proficient in design.

I am working on test set up for the new board and this altium help me to design the new footprint and its really helpful for our project

What do you like best about the product?
It offers an excellent combination of powerful features, a user-friendly interface, and an extensive library of components. It saves time and ensures high-quality results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium Designer has many benefits but some users may find certain aspects of low appealing One common disadvantage is the software's steep learning curve which requires time and effort to become proficient. Some users experienced crashes or software freezes, which could be very irritating especially when working on complex designs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of complex electronic design by providing an elaborated platform for schematic capture, PCB layout, and manufacturing preparation. Its integrated features streamline the design process, reduces errors, and enhance collaboration. This benefits designers by improving efficiency, which ensures accurate designs, and accelerating time-to-market for electronic products.

Altium designer made my work more simple and effective, if you are going to startup in electronic industry means altium designer helps us to do that very simple.

I noticed some minor control issue, but other than that it's awesome

Altium designer gave me simple way to do my PCB design, even a beginner also can easily design with the help of altium designer because it is more user friendly
Altium Designer is the sweet-spot for price/performance for mid-size businesses.
What do you like best about the product?
The desktop version of the software is a competent PCB design suite and it's base-tier license competes well with other software in its price range. This has made it the defacto choice for mid-size businesses.
The feature-set is good, although some minor bugs & quirks still exist particularly with the online services and component search.
Unlike older versions of Altium Designer, software crashes and the dreaded "access violation at address" errors are now much rarer, so Altium do now seem to be focussing on fixing bugs rather than just constantly adding new features.

What do you dislike about the product?
Altium's pricing options have become fractured, and many useful features are now resticted to higher-tier license levels which have become prohititively expensive for most mid-size (50-250 employee) companies.
Deeper price discounts for independent PCB consultants are urgently needed to prevent Altium from completely pricing themselves out of that growing market.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium Designer helps us to design electronic producs and its integration with Solidworks allows us to ensure that multi-board designs and mechatronic assemblies will fit together properly.
Very useful for collaboration with clients and team members.
What do you like best about the product?
Convenient for submitting designs for review by clients. The feedback mechanisms have improved. Workspace for designs and libraries are great. I don't have any knowledge of similar features that competitors may have. Version control is great. Used daily with clients. New users gets going rapidly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having access to PRO features. Altium's primary selling point in the past that it was all inclusive and no additional modules and add-ons like competitors, that charge massively for those.

The assembly should be improved for a better manual assembly, for example save the progresses in assembly just to continue in another moment. Very useful a mobile app

A continually improving, well developed powerhouse.

Thorough integration of its functionalities. Automation of many otherwise error-prone tasks. Keeps up with constant changes in design requirements.

Like every EDA tool set, its menu structures and other human interface aspects are unique to it, so finding functions takes learning at first.
