Excellent PCB Design software
What do you like best about the product?
Exceptionally easy collaboration tools and properly documented features/tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium 365 can be quite slow to connect to the servers that it requires to function
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium 365 allows for fast development of PCB hardware while collaborating effectively with team members
Streamlined and easy to use interface. Recommended it to several coworkers sucessfully
What do you like best about the product?
Interactive routing, labels on the nets. Seems like simple features but they make work flow so much better than with the older ECADs we used at my firm. The internal parts library works wonders as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. The UI can be confusing to use at first but it becomes easy to use fairly quickly. I was used to using a command line like in Eagle CAD but got use to the new system quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forward backward compatibility with the MechEs. It's super easy to push models between out teams whereas before we would have far too many numerical erros introducted in file exchanges.
Excellent user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I have use altium from last five years, Altium UI makes the difference from other tool , it's very user friendly and lot of tutorial available on internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
If altium can make the bom management better than existing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production file management like job file & assembly file & variants makes essay the production with different different varieties in process.
Great and Plentiful resources
What do you like best about the product?
Available resources and the ease of libraries. I appreciate the readily available components. The ability to update parts and BOMs is unparalleled, no comparison.
What do you dislike about the product?
Losing connection to internet can disrupt my flow. But It is a small detail that I have found that would make it better and further improvement. Offline access would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me create pcbs that are reliable . Easy component organization by projects with the library. I am definitely more productive and my performance has increased.
Great Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Easy for multiple people to simultaneously work on a project without the need for the sharing files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software can be unstable and crash.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N/A
A great end-to-end PCB design software
What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designer is and incredibly powerful software, bundling every tool you need to design a PCB into a single software. From its cloud-based integration with Altium 365, to its ability to host massive parts libraries locally, it is very flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, Altium Designer's wide range of features makes its user interface somewhat daunting to new or inexperienced users, and it can be difficult to memorize shortcuts and menus. Luckily, Altium's support pages are quite helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium Designer's cloud-based tools do a great job helping me to collaborate with team members using its built-in version control system. Having these features integrated into the tool provides a seamless experience.

Accurate translation of schematics design into printed circuit boards. Tracking of components. Creating and maintaining bills of materials.
Altium allows a fast and comprehensive electronic development
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very intuitive, it has powerful features that streamline the development process. Multi user collaboration is a very powerful feature available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some plug-ins should be included with the package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across teams on a single design.
A complete tool - Electronics and PCBs in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Your connection with the resellers and the rapid collection of data and component footprints. They also allow the installation of add-ons that facilitate their use, in addition to having connections with other software directly, making the integration of multiple software easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all of your basic tools are so intuitive, which is even more noticeable for your more complex tools. Some commands are also not intuitive and quite different from the usual in other software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium Designer allows me to create PCBs for my research projects quickly and efficiently. Its use also helps me better understand the functioning of the boards I fabricate there.
Draftsman and Variant features are more customizable
What do you like best about the product?
The new and improved Home Page is easier to navigate, and I find helpful tips that make my designs go faster. Also, the Draftsman document (PCBDwf) features such as Board Assembly View customization (component Display Properties), Board Realistic View of Current Camera Position, and Bill of Materials view settings options (Variant/Columns/Row Colors) to name a few. Lastly, the Project Variants has options to replace parts on the Schematic Sheet and then forward that design change to the PCBDoc (Place 3D Models), which can give me multiple design outputs if several components are unavailable do to supply chain issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only input for improvement I would give is that when using Callouts (arrow and bubble with item numbers matching to BOM) for components the Elbow Position options are only Left or Right. So, when I try to avoid drawing over components on the board, I must hand draw it in and disconnect it from the BOM optimization. I like the fact that it will auto update as I change the BOM Items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can save the Draftsman document as a template and pull it up in new projects which saves me immense amount for time since doing multiple pages of complex details needed for assembly is very tedious and it is easy loose consistency. Also, easy collaboration with my team and MCAD designer is a huge plus.
