Review on Altium Designer
What do you like best about the product?
I like its easy to use, and the interface is excellent so that people can quickly learn how to use it effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The necessity of a mouse for ease of access is an issue because it is necessary toremember to bring a mouse to access Altium easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Altium Designer presents an interface where chips and circuits can be modeled, which is helpful before attempting to create an actual one.
Altium Designer is a decent software for PCB and Circuit Design
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface, its intuitive and its performance seems to be very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The stability of the software could be improved, as there have been some weird glitches and errors faced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me design my circuits very efficiently, and it is allowing me to create my prototypes with ease.
Suitable for all areas
What do you like best about the product?
I believe it's extremely helpful for preventing fraud in my area, as there are many fraudulent emails and advertisements, so I used this program to alleviate that issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont believe it covers all areas of all programs, as although it works under many Business and IT related aspects, the social aspect is lacking which could lessen the need for certain other areas
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves my problems of clicking on Fraudulent activities such as when there's ads and i click on it by mistake, it helps me stay protected with my IP address and personal information

The most helpful thing I found with this company is that it allowed me to choose what components I wanted, I really liked the customizable aspect.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little bit hard to find what I want, as I was looking for a complex solution. However, when found, it was easily solved

Like I mentioned before, this company allowed me to customize more than other PCB companies. Only this company found my problem I wanted to solve.

What do you like best about the product?
Hands down on of the best softwares I've used thus far in my years at university! My favorite feature has to be the 3D aspects of the program and helps me visualize very well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Altium for me would have to be the pricing. A very great software, without a shadow of a doubt, but if it was just a little more lower in the pricing, it would be a perfect 10/10 in my books

Going back to my previous answer, it has to be the 3D visual viewing for my CAD projects. I'm someone that is very image-savvy and needs to have the full perspective of everything going on and Altium Designer does it like no other software
Efficient and organized system for planning out PCB’s visually
What do you like best about the product?
Altium designer has a large list of libraries to choose specific components on a pcb which are useful. Additionally, if you need to update a part of the pcb, it's as simple as making the changes and importing it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that altium has really long names in their libraries for electronic components. I think it should also have a condensed summary of what the component is and a visual to identify the correct component the user is looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of laying out a pcb on a software that accurate to size which is great for some projects that require precise measurements. I recently started using Altium designer but it's been helping me understand how pcb's work and logic design too.
I used Altium to design PCBs for a school project.
What do you like best about the product?
I found it guitar intuitive to use. If I wanted to add a component or place a component, it was fairly easy. There were also many videos online that were helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of things were very difficult to do, and were not intuitive. Many of the keyboard shorts cuts were hard to memorize. Finally, I wish the auto-trace feature was more accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I always had to use breadboards for prototypes but once I had the circuit down, this is were Altuim came in. I would design the circuit and have it printed and shipped.

The revision control and ability to recover previous versions of my designs

I don't think the interface is as intuitive as it could be - especially with regard to generating output files

Again the revision control has been a god-send

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to drag+drop elements / move things around, and there are a lot of useful features (annotate, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
A few things are coubter-intuitive/hard to use: for example, connecting elements sometimes does not work + width has to be scaled manually. Navigation without a mouse is also difficult

What do you like best about the product?
Altium makes creating pcb voards seemingless by having a very large leasant visiual design packed eith multitude of tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tracing can be improved as there many isnatces where traces make choices rhat would ruin sognal integrity like more than 90 degree angles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium allows me to create my own custom ocb boards that can then be manufactured by me and used for my project team purposes.
