Godd tool to make PCBs
What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities to create PCBs using libraries made from enterprises

Industry Standard - Incredibly Powerful and Full Featured - One of the best!
What do you like best about the product?
Fully featured with powerful capabilities across all electronic design phases from component/library management, schematic capture and management through to supporting complex and complete PCB design with fabulous mechanical integration and product visualisation capabilities. The clean user interface and cloud integration make it easy to share and manage designs including with other team members. Good range of import and export capabilities which are fabulous for working with clients and projects who sometimes use different design software.
Appreciate the dedicated customer support model, and the frequent webinars and video tutorials which are offered throughout the year. Also appreciated the support provided during severe industry downturns such as during the Covid years which (in my opinion) really demonstrated a genuine level of care for their customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can sometimes be a little pricey for small businesses or start-ups - who arguably might be able to use cheaper competitive offerings with less features - but on the other hand the quality of the Altium offering ultimately stands out compared to other platforms. We continue to subscribe to it because it is an industry standard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing design reviews to be shared easily with other team members. Producing great visualizations and understanding of the final PCB's with 3D integration and mechanical CAD collaboration (for example with SolidWorks).
Why I recommend Altium 365
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how things and elements are arranged on the screen. Also, i think It's very intuitive and if you have a problem there are lots of tips on the webpage which is updated frequently. Also, you can do the BOM, simulate the circuit and change the models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my computer fails and I don't know why. I downloaded one version, and the first time did not install correctly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Altium 365 for a short time, but i find it very intuitive compared with other surfaces. Some friends recommended to me and I am delighted. I can also change the BOM easily if I change something.

I can share my files with team members at work or any location.

Like any CAD design package, Altium is something that you have to continually work at to stay proficient and utilise its many features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is a one-stop shop, PCB design, component supply BOM generation, 3D modeling, simulation Etc...
Capabilities of higher priced software
What do you like best about the product?
3D modeling of layouts. The broad feature set allows me to do pretty much everything necessary for my current role/products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn't easy to find features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to access my design files anywhere. Makes the files easy to share with anyone elses using Altium.
Best PCB Design Software
What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface of the software is intuitive. Online Component library, Educational Videos Uploaded Regularly for new versions and the video for tips and tricks for using the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing 3rd Party Custom schematics and PCB symbol is a tedious process. Not all the components symbol is available in the manufacture part search. I miss easily importing symbols from online component searches with other PCB designers. Importing Board layout is also complex in some projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version Control and layer management were tedious with other software. Also moving components in the 3D space is the feature I like most with ALTIUM.
State of the Art in PCB design
What do you like best about the product?
It is flexible, so I can be creative, but it can automate many tedious tasks

It isn't cheap and I don't care for the eternal revenue stream model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create boards in relatively fast turn situations and I trust that the DRC is thorough

Access to MCAD collaboration makes things easier.

The minor downside is the cost. It is also hard to manipulate 3d step files.

Access to library components.
I am very satisfied with Altium Designer, it is a great and strong tool.

- Altium Designer is not too difficult to learn, and when you master it, you can save a lot of time to make a new design.

- I think Altium Designer should improve the Draftsman, I always have problem by zoom in and zoom out vertically and horizontally an image in Draftsman.
- I think you should have more discount for the license, because some companys have an trouble in finance in this time.

I see that Altium Designer is constantly improving all of the functions, like some routing functions and Draftsman. And it is very convenient for me to use it and I can save a lot of time for the design.
Great system to keep organized.
What do you like best about the product?
The component management system is top notch. I'd recommend working with an Altium specialist as early in the process to ensure you have the system setup to your liking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium 365 can be a bit intimidating. Take your time to familiarize yourself with all options before cementing your customizations and going live with the software for your group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had some startup issues with setting up some lifecycle management with our design, our issue. We worked with the Altium representatives to solve all our problems. We were very satisfied with the service.
