Great tool for team work
What do you like best about the product?
Version control is great allowing to work from home or in the office easily, MCad feature allows to easily exchange information and work between electronics R&D and mechanic design team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pro version is too expensive. Pro version features should be standard, feels like it is a tool cut down in features to be able to charge more for full functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to easily work from different locations with projects being stored on the cloud. Easier to synchronize changes between mechanic and electronic design teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having the projects and libraries in the cloud is a game changer. Old school local network and local copies in personal computers doesn't work anymore.

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing & collaborate projects across entire company

Browser is slow to load multiple projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several team members would love to put comments & recommendation for our projects, 365 makes it easier for them to participate
Altium 365 has helped my team collaborate seamlessly especially with remote working on designs

Transparency and visibility of team input to designs in real time
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to update design into server for it to be visible to other members of the team. This is not really a problem especially when team designers ensure to update

Team collaboration and also design reviews and real time updates to designs

Review become more fun and keeping revision history become less painful
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share with the review team and all the review comments can be captured in 365 itself. The release process is super easy and added with the revision history tracker, it is awesome. ECAD-MCAD communication is also super handy
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be great if I can use the same basic shortcut keys which I am using in the Altium tool like measurements, navigating through 3D, flipping the board, etc here in 365 as well. Any information related to PCB rules and Violations also will help a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Revision tracking, Review comments Tracking, Sharing of working files, Fab and assembly release easiness. Now we are not using our Git or drives for storing our files, It is completely in 365.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it if you are looking for a medium that helps you to share your designs with other teams and track all the review comments and easy release process.
It's eases working in team with another engineers in terms of schematic design and layout review.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the cloud storage of designs and ease of access to them, the way I can share my designs with both other engineers and managers/technicians without them needing to install Altium Designer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the platform overall can be optimized to work a little bit faster. Especially generating board previews after making changes to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned earlier the biggest game-changer for me was the way I can now approach schematic and layout reviews. Sharing designs with others and getting feedback through comments is awesome.
A fantastic tool for team collaboration and prototyping
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for all team members to access designs to view and add notes. It was a great introduction to the world of PCB design. I have since started using Altium designer and both applications work together very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The delay between saving to the cloud on Altium designer has been the only minor issue I have encountered so far - though it is normally available about 10 minutes after saving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a technician, I can easily identify the location of components and traces on the board when performing modifications. I can add notes and easily correspond with the design team remotely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate to try it, I'm not aware of any comparable products.
Great ECAD Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is a one-stop-shop for my designs. It is fully integrated and I can do essentially everything with it for my numerous electronic designs. I like that I can customize almost every setting to my desire!
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium is among the most expensive or rather costly ECAD tools out there. This is in comparison to tools such as Fusion which comes as a package with Eagle CAD and the free tool KiCAD which focuses mainly on just schematic capture and layout.
Having said that, with Altium you get a bang for your buck with all the amazing features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do a lot of design development work for different clients all over the globe. This includes clients that are super active in the clean energy business. I use Altium to do designs and I can easily collaborate with mechanical engineers by generating 3D CAD files of my board.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that A365 allows multiple people to interact with a given project to make the design cycle easier and faster. I also really like that there is a web interface to allow users to review the schematics and layout without needing Altium or the design files. This is nice since it allows the design engineer to keep the version of the original files controlled.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how the different tiers of A365 function. With the Altium subscription, you do get access to A365 but that is the standard account. To fully utilize all the benefits of A365 you will need to upgrade to the Pro version of A365. However, all the seats in the company need to be a Pro seats to get these functions. I feel not everyone in the organization needs to have Pro access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A365 allows us to have a full version control system without having to maintain our own instance of either subversion or git. The other benefit is the addition of creating a centralized parts library with real-time inventory to assist in the design process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This system is extremely helpful and will make your job easier once it is setup.
Altium 365 - Making Design Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Collaborative team working. Remote library access and ability to leave comments for others. Web portal is useful and sharing with manufacturers is something that we like the look of.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be slow and unresponsive on occasion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PCB Design. Working in large and remote teams we have seen the benefit especially in the design review stages.

don't waste time with other packages. just get Altium
highly recommended

I think it is very user friendly and is seamless to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
i wish the price could be cheaper per month for some of your long term subscribers. maybe offer certain deals to keep subscribers.
