Best electronic CAD software I have used so far
What do you like best about the product?
The graphical interface is easy to use, everything you need is a few clicks away, and if you get to use it often, the smart shortcuts get you to the point even faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can do almost anything with this CAD software, the personalization degree is very advanced, so it also means that you can spend a lot of time setting up your interface the way you want it. Other CAD software may be simpler on this side, but you won't get as much personalization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium 365 is helping us getting the work done faster, and to share the work with other companies or people without the need of a license. Colaborative work is also a must on it.
Improvements for Altium 365
What do you like best about the product?
The software is very fast when projects are committed. The projects are very organized in the cloud. We used this tool in Altium Designer and share the files with the entire work team.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Altium 365, mechanics files have low quality then, we need to save a separate file (.step) in Altium Designer. And, it's important to have tools to mark up PCB layout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Altium 365, we don't need to save the project on the server, and the cloud makes version control easier. It's important to follow the project, save memory and time.
A365 Experience Review
What do you like best about the product?
I am a big fan of the ability to review layout and schematics in a browser, and leave comments as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were more straightforward as to how to commit Gerbers and Fab files to the repository.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Design review process via peer review is what we are using A365 to solve. It definitely makes it easier to review and provide feedback to my colleagues on their designs.
The features are unmatched in the industry and they continue to improve with every new release.
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature I like is that I can now have a central library for my components and models. I struggled for many years with missing component and footprint references, not anymore! I also love the fact that I have a standalone license that I can use to move my installation over to my personal PC when working remotely or whatever the reason may be.
What do you dislike about the product?
When designing a panel, the project does not know it is a panel design. As such, it doesn't reflect the panel in the project's workspace view, and I cannot export a model of the panel as it would appear after fabrication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am actively attempting to get our mechanical engineers on board with Altium MCAD CoDesigner to help bridge the gap between ECAD and MCAD. This has been a problem for many years and has wasted a lot of time and money.
Nice experience. Very seamless and quite useful.

I like the Possibility of sharing PCB manufacturing documentation with our EMS provider.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no problem with the tool. I really like it, and I have no dislike feature.

Altium 365 is great!!
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration with colleagues through version control and live comments are very helpful when reviewing schematics and layouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how Altium 365 sometimes fails to commit component changes and crashes occasionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for collaboration with remote workers.
Premium Version Control
What do you like best about the product?
Altium 365 offers a lot, but my favorite is that it has a solid native version control system that beats pure Git or SVN. This works great with libraries and with projects. The web interface is currently very light but is great for sharing with others and I look forward to the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sourcing data is pulled into components that are linked properly to their distributor, but this data is prone to error and is slow to update. I appreciate this feature especially given the current environment, but it falls a bit short and I still need to use external tools to manage my BOMs properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously used Git for version control, and since Altium uses binary files, it is not easy to compare version to version. 365 has a pretty nice version compare tool. This is the same with libraries.
Practicality
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use, no need to generate documentation for the client to see

Do not present more than one pcbdoc in the same project
