Altium 365 helps your work to be organized
What do you like best about the product?
Components are in one place. History tracking of components and projects is beneficial. I see library healt status immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is laggy. But that is due to 3D.

I am a library administrator. Altium 365 helps me work from home. I see library healt status immediately.

It is easy to set up a review and give comments on a design.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not all fields in Altium 365 are easily copied with ctrl+c, ctrl+v especially use full when searching for a part or datasheet. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way to share designs both internally and externally. No need to have an Altium designer installed. Of course for the actual design work you need a designer license as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you doubting ask for a trial period or discount for the first year.
Great for remote work and collaborative work
What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy component creation allows me to seamlessly choose alternates or substitutes during design if there isn't enough global supply. The ability to place comments on schematics and PCB documents has greatly helped to collaborate with different members of my team. Shared component libraries and projects, and easy to use web-based UI are some of my favourite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
A minor work-around is needed if I have an existing project linked to a private server that needs to be uploaded on Altium 365. Also, some users tend to get confused between Altium 365 account login and Altium Live login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium 365 has significantly improved my team's productivity as it greatly helps in collaborating with different team members. Altium 365 has also helped to give non-electrical engineering users who don't have Altium Designer installed get better visibility on the ongoing projects by viewing "work in progress" schematics and PCB 3D models.

- It is really easy to create and update projects.
- Reviewers can make comments without taking up an Altium license, using the online viewer.
- No need for a separate version control repository, unless desired as backup.
- Other users such as mechanical/firmware can be given access to the online project to export files without needing to go through the HW designer as the middle man.

What do you dislike about the product?
- The online PCB viewer (2D & 3D) can be slightly clunky. Viewing in Altium is easier.
- Right clicking in the side panel of the online viewer doesn't work, at least in Chrome (can't right-click +copy, etc.)
- I did not realize that managing release status in Altium 365 requires an upgraded subscription. So we had to devise a separate way to manage the status of board releases.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No major problems have occurred so far, and the main benefit has been the ability of my team lead to be able to review the design without using one of our licenses (limited # as a startup).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot, it was quite helpful for us switching from Git as a small team.
An all in one solution for schematic and PCB design
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Altium as a whole has to be its extensive version control and collaboration features. It really helps make it a tool that stands out from the competition and contributes to making team work on electrical projects such a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, Altium has a steep learning curve. The UI can get a little dense at times which makes it especially hard to use on computers with low resolutions and slow displays while the hotkeys and shortcuts take some time getting used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As stated before, the biggest obstacle around electronic centered projects is managing a huge team of engineers and freelancers, relaying feedback, and contributing ideas and improvements. The version control system helps iron out these obstacles and the team collaboration features make communication easier within the team.

Nothing negative that I have noticed. Seems pretty nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem to solve is viewing and commenting and collaborating. The benefits realized is in communication and accountability.
Altium is easy to use and has all of the capabilities I need.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of creating layout based on a schematic. When I make changes to the schematic, it is really easy to update the layout. Other software such as Eagle or KiCad is not as easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like is how difficult it is to add a new page to the schematic from a template. I don't like how instead, it always just uses the default page. I would like to be able to set the default page template for a project so that every page I add will come into the schematic with that template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is helping me to collaborate with my coworkers to do schematic design and board design. I am much more productive with Altium because it is easy to use, so I don't waste a lot of time with formatting and settings. I can quickly design a board and prepare gerber files to send out to build boards.

It's really easy to use and has all necessary capabilities.

Seamless version control. Single library concept. Ability to share design data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Errors on commits always give me an uneasy feeling. While rare, it usually works on the second try, but still leaves me anxious wondering why it failed / design corrupt?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version control. Version control. Version control. All design elements in one ecosystem. Sharing design data with engineering firms outside of my company was always challenging to remain in sync with design updates.
